The answer to a World of Warcraft Housing Decor Treasure Hunt depends on your faction and the randomly selected riddle. Alliance players search Founder’s Point; Horde players search Razorwind Shores. Match your three clue sentences to the appropriate answer key, then follow its /way coordinate to dig up one decor item.
How Decor Treasure Hunts work
The Last Architect offers one Decor Treasure Hunt quest per day. The quest is selected at random, so two characters may receive different riddles. Each quest gives three sentences describing a landmark, a buried treasure to dig up, and one housing decor item. The same decor items can also be purchased from neighborhood decor vendors, making the hunt a free alternate way to obtain them.

Both faction guides list 50 documented reward, riddle and coordinate entries. They were updated July 18, 2026. Use the page’s Decor Item Riddles table or your browser’s find command to search a distinctive phrase from the clue, then copy the matching /way string.

Fastest way to solve today’s riddle
- Confirm whether the character is Alliance or Horde and travel to the matching neighborhood.
- Read all three sentences from the quest. Search the matching faction guide for an unusual phrase, landmark or reward name rather than a generic word such as “water.”
- Copy the listed
/waycoordinate into your waypoint addon or map-pin system. The landmark description is the final check if the pin is imprecise. - At the landmark, look for the buried treasure and interact with it to complete the quest and receive the decor item.
The Blizzard forum discussion at Where do I go for this quest? links both answer keys, notes that their locations can be copied as map pins, and mentions a CurseForge addon that can automatically add a waypoint.

Manual solving, answer keys or an addon?

When the treasure is not there
- Make sure you are in the correct neighborhood: Founder’s Point uses map ID
#2352, while Razorwind Shores uses#2351. - Confirm that the matching Decor Treasure Hunt quest is accepted on the character you are using.
- Move around the landmark instead of relying on the pin alone; some mounds are underwater, behind structures, beneath bridges or on a different elevation.
- Check phasing and reload the area if another player, quest state or instance layer appears to hide the object.
- On Horde, treat the landmark wording as authoritative when a coordinate seems off. Community comments on the Horde guide report occasional coordinate errors, including corrections near the Iron Chain Chandelier and Long Orgrimmar Bench entries.
Keeping the list current
The answer keys reflect the documented quest pools and coordinates as of July 18, 2026. Housing updates can change available quests, locations or item availability, so recheck the relevant faction guide after a patch rather than assuming an old pin still applies.
