Marvel Rivals distributes free cosmetics through events, the free battle-pass track, Twitch Drops, Heroic Journey achievements and selected platform entitlements. The table below is a September 28, 2026 snapshot: several rewards expire in October or November, so confirm the live objective and deadline in-game before starting.
Free Marvel Rivals skins currently listed
These rewards and dates come from Dot Esports’ guide updated September 25, 2026, with the Season 10 Twitch campaign cross-checked against NetEase’s official update. The list does not include every possible competitive or education-related entitlement.

“Free” is conditional for the PlayStation rewards: Urban Hunter depends on the subscription and entitlement, while Scarlet Spider depends on PlayStation access. Urban Hunter is also sold in the store on other platforms, so it is not universally free.
For context, NetEase’s launch announcement says that all heroes are unlocked and free to play; that statement concerns playable characters, not cosmetic skins. There is no official publisher-wide count of free skins per season. Dot Esports’ “over 10” estimate is an editorial estimate, not a NetEase statistic.

Event skins: use the in-game Events tab
Open Events from the main menu, select the relevant event and read its reward track before queueing. Many event rewards progress through completed matches, but special tasks or minigames can also be required. The four currently listed event routes are:
- Galacta’s Gift Vol. 3: complete the live track, then exchange its currency for one skin of your choice.
- Jeff’s Dream Eater: progress the event objectives to claim Venom — President Ozzy.
- Krakoan Reels Vol. 2: progress the event objectives to claim Star-Lord — Star Swimmer.
- Creed of Akkaba: progress the event objectives to claim The Punisher — Sandstorm Soldier.
The cited listings do not specify a universal number of matches, missions or minigames for these events. Use the objective text shown in your current client rather than assuming one event’s requirements apply to another. The listed deadlines are October 8 for Creed of Akkaba, October 14 for Jeff’s Dream Eater and Krakoan Reels Vol. 2, and November 12 for Galacta’s Gift Vol. 3.

Season 10 free battle-pass skins
- Open the Season 10 battle pass and switch to the free reward track if the interface shows separate paid and free tiers.
- Earn the pass progression required to reach page four, then claim Hawkeye — Thunderbolts.
- Continue progressing to page ten and claim Groot — Grootlactus.
Both skins are listed through November 12, 2026. The live pass displays the exact progression requirements and any level or page gates, so check it before planning a farming route.

NetEase lists the Season 10 campaign from September 11, 2026 at 12:00 UTC through October 9, 2026 at 09:00 UTC. Follow this sequence:

- Open the official Marvel Rivals Twitch Drops instructions and link the Twitch account you intend to use.
- Watch eligible streams in the Marvel Rivals category during the active campaign.
- Check Twitch Drops Inventory and claim each completed reward there.
- Launch Marvel Rivals and check your in-game mail for delivery.
Each specified reward can be claimed once per Twitch account. Watching multiple channels simultaneously does not accelerate progress. In-game reward mail expires after 30 days, so claim and retrieve the skin promptly. Dot Esports reports that this skin generally requires four hours of viewing, but the active campaign’s progress meter is the authority if the watch-time requirement changes.
The Season 10 update also describes Cyclops — Will of Galacta and other IGNITE Stage 2 esports Drops released in batches, with some rewards tied to particular weeks. Those are separate from the Squirrel Girl campaign; check the official campaign schedule before treating an esports Drop as currently available.

Heroic Journey achievement skins
Star-Lord — Jovial Star and Storm — Ivory Breeze are listed under Heroic Journey. Open the Heroic Journey screen from the relevant hero or profile menu and inspect the current achievement requirements. The available listing says these rewards take sustained play across many different heroes but does not publish the exact thresholds, so no reliable match count can be stated here.

Squirrel Girl — Urban Hunter
This skin is listed in a PlayStation Plus Season Two bundle. Eligibility depends on having the qualifying PlayStation Plus entitlement and meeting the redemption conditions shown for your account and region. On other platforms, Urban Hunter can be purchased in the store, which is why it should not be described as free for every player.

Spider-Man — Scarlet Spider
Scarlet Spider is listed as a PlayStation exclusive. Sign in on a supported PlayStation account and follow the entitlement or store instructions displayed in your regional client; the listing gives no universal redemption rule beyond the platform restriction.
Competitive rewards and college perks are separate
The main free-skin list above excludes competitive rewards and college-student perks. NetEase’s Season 10 update names Gorr the God Butcher — Gods’ Graveyard as the Season 10.0 Gold-tier costume reward. Rank rewards require the current competitive rank and season rules, which can change, so verify the live ranked page before assuming eligibility.
The same update discusses college perks, but the cited details do not establish that every perk is a free skin for every student or region. Treat those offers as eligibility-controlled programs and check the official announcement and in-game redemption instructions.
