Everything announced at Xbox Games Showcase 2025 spans new games, gameplay reveals, a handheld hardware announcement, DLC, and updates to existing games. The June 8, 2025 recap’s headline reveals included Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Persona 4 Revival—Atlus’s remake of Persona 4—alongside new looks at The Outer Worlds 2, Grounded 2, and more. Xbox also announced the ROG Xbox Ally handheld family and outlined release plans as they stood at the time.
What kind of announcements did the showcase include?
Xbox Wire’s official June 8, 2025 showcase recap brings together several kinds of news, not just brand-new game reveals: world premieres, sequel announcements, gameplay updates, platform and release news, downloadable content, and live-game updates. The showcase was followed by a separate The Outer Worlds 2 & Grounded 2 Direct; details specific to that Direct are not part of the announcement list below.
Dates and availability in this roundup are the plans or descriptions Xbox gave in June 2025. They should not be read as confirmation of a title’s current release status, platform lineup, Game Pass inclusion, or hardware stock.
Hardware revealed: ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X
Xbox and ASUS announced two Windows handhelds: the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X. Xbox said in June 2025 that they were planned for holiday 2025 in select markets, with availability to follow in other markets where ROG Ally devices were sold. Pricing and pre-orders were to be announced later. Those statements describe the original announcement, not current availability or pricing.

New games and major reveals
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7
Treyarch and Raven Software announced Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, set in 2035 and featuring David Mason. Xbox described a co-op campaign playable solo or with friends, multiplayer, and round-based Zombies; its June recap said a fuller reveal would follow that summer. The recap listed Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Xbox PC, Xbox Cloud, Xbox Play Anywhere, Game Pass day-one availability, Battle.net, Steam, PS5, and PS4.
Persona 4 Revival
Atlus announced Persona 4 Revival, a remake of Persona 4 set in rural Inaba. The announcement described updated visuals and the story’s murder mystery and mysterious TV channel. Xbox Wire listed Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC, Xbox Cloud, Xbox Play Anywhere, and Game Pass day-one availability, and directed readers to the developer for information about other platforms.
The Outer Worlds 2
The showcase offered a new look at Obsidian’s RPG sequel, set in Arcadia. Xbox highlighted player choice, factions, companions, and reactive storytelling. The showcase trailer and the separate Direct that followed were distinct parts of the event’s double feature.

Grounded 2
Obsidian announced Grounded 2, set in Brookhollow Park, with rideable Buggies and an Omni-Tool. Xbox said the game was planned to enter Game Preview on July 29, 2025, with Steam Early Access beginning the same day. In that 2025 announcement, Xbox Wire said the original Grounded had “over 25 million players and counting.”

Double Fine’s Keeper is an adventure starring a walking lighthouse and its seabird companion. Xbox gave October 17, 2025 as the planned release date.
More new games and sequels
- Invincible VS: Quarter Up’s 3v3 tag fighting game set in the Invincible universe; Xbox announced a 2026 launch.
- Mudang: Two Hearts: a third-person tactical action-adventure set on a reunified Korean Peninsula, announced for 2026.
- Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf: a sequel announced for 2026, described as a larger cinematic puzzle adventure with new abilities.
- Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy: a prequel set 15 years before A Plague Tale: Requiem, announced for 2026.

Gears of War: Reloaded
Xbox announced an August 26, 2025 release date and a multiplayer beta for Gears of War: Reloaded. The recap described remastered visuals and performance features that vary by platform; these were announcement-time details.
Ninja Gaiden 4
The new gameplay look introduced protagonist Yakumo and showed weapon switching, alongside the return of Bloodbind Ninjutsu and Ninpo. Xbox gave October 21, 2025 as the planned launch date.

Final Fantasy XVI arrived on Xbox on the day of the showcase, June 8, 2025. Xbox also said Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade was planned for later in 2025. Those are the timing statements in the June recap.

Solo Leveling: Arise Overdrive
Xbox described this action RPG as based on the Solo Leveling webtoon. Its announced schedule was an Xbox PC release in fall 2025, followed by Xbox Series X|S and cloud versions in 2026.

Age of Mythology: Retold – Heavenly Spear
The announced expansion adds a Japanese pantheon with 12 new gods and a 12-mission campaign, according to Xbox Wire’s 2025 recap.
The Elder Scrolls Online
Xbox said Seasons of the Worm Cult Part 1 and Update 46 were available on PC and Mac, with arrival on Xbox and PlayStation planned for June 18, 2025.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: The Order of Giants
This DLC takes the adventure beneath Rome. Xbox scheduled it for September 4, 2025, and outlined access through editions and upgrades in its recap.
Sea of Thieves: Season 17 – Smugglers’ Tide
Xbox announced a free August 2025 season update featuring new Smuggler’s League voyages.
What did Xbox tease for 2026?
In his closing remarks, Phil Spencer teased “The return of a classic that’s been with us since the beginning…” The recap did not identify the classic in that statement, so it remains a teaser rather than a confirmed title. Xbox also pointed to 2026 titles including a new Fable, the next Forza, and Gears of War: E-Day, against the backdrop of Xbox’s upcoming 25th anniversary.
How to read the platform and Game Pass announcements
Xbox said the showcase’s new games supported Xbox Play Anywhere, describing a single purchase spanning Xbox console, PC, and Xbox Ally. That broad statement should be read alongside each title’s own platform listing: the recap provides specific platform details for some games, while the titles above do not all have a complete list here. Likewise, Game Pass availability was stated for particular games such as Black Ops 7, Persona 4 Revival, and There Are No Ghosts at The Grand; it should not be assumed for every announcement.
