“Evony: Map Scanner” is not verified as the name of an official Evony product. Instead, players may mean third-party tools such as Coordex, a shared coordinate service described by its publisher, or Evony Scout, a separate scanner described by Evony Tools. These tools are not interchangeable, and neither should be treated as official Evony software.
What an Evony map scanner does
Evony: The King’s Return has a real-time world map, but the App Store listing’s description of that game feature does not establish that Evony offers an official map scanner. A third-party scanner or coordinate service can help players locate map targets without manually searching every area. What it covers, how it gathers information, and whether it interacts with the game depend on the specific tool.
Coordex describes itself as a shared, per-server service that pools publicly available map data into boards for bosses, resource tiles, subordinate cities, and event targets. Players can set a home location, sort targets by distance, and see when coordinates were last seen. Coordex says its coverage refreshes throughout the day; that freshness claim comes from the vendor and has not been independently tested. See Coordex’s product description.
How to use Coordex’s map and coordinate features
Coordex’s Explore guide describes a view for browsing targets and using their coordinates. The guide says scan activity is controlled per server, while Explore displays data from that sweep. Available controls and labels may change as the service is updated.

- Grow your inventory and be the Trading Master 3D!
- Choose a server and review scan status. The guide describes a live scan control for each server and indicators showing scan age or stale data. Check the age before relying on a coordinate.
- Open the relevant target tab. The documented categories include bosses, resources, subordinate cities, collectables, and event targets.
- Narrow the results. Use the guide’s name search and filters to find a target, then sort results to bring nearer locations forward when useful.
- Check the map or copy a coordinate. The guide describes map pins and coordinate rows that can be copied for use in the game.
- Use distance as a guide, not a guarantee. Coordex describes distance from a player-set home location. The coordinate’s last-seen age matters because a target may have moved or disappeared since it was observed.
Read the Coordex Explore guide.
Coordex and Evony Scout are different tools
Evony Scout is described by Evony Tools as a separate, opt-in scanner that reads publicly visible world-map data and does not log into a player’s Evony account. That is the vendor’s description, not an independent privacy or security audit. Review Evony Tools’ credential-safety documentation.
Evonex, by contrast, describes its software as Windows-based game automation. The vendor says it uses computer vision to read the game screen and ADB taps or swipes to interact with the ordinary game client. Evonex also says its local database, screenshots, and logs remain in a local folder. These are vendor statements; they do not establish that every tool called a scanner works the same way. See Evonex’s description.

| Tool or service | What its publisher says it does | Account interaction described | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coordex | Shared server-coordinate boards for several map target types; includes distance, sorting, and scan-age information. | Coordex is described as an optional coordinate service, separate from Evonex automation. | Coverage and refresh frequency are vendor claims, not independently verified. |
| Evony Scout | Opt-in scanning of publicly visible world-map data. | Evony Tools says it does not log into the player’s Evony account. | Privacy and security descriptions come from the vendor. |
| Evonex | Windows game automation using computer vision and ADB input, according to its publisher. | Designed to read the game screen and interact with the client. | The vendor warns that automation may violate game rules and put accounts at risk. |
What to check before using a scanner
- Whether it only shows coordinates or automates gameplay. A coordinate board and software that taps or swipes in the game present different kinds of account and security considerations.
- Target coverage and freshness. Look for the categories you need and a clear last-seen or scan-age indicator. A listing is not proof that the target is still there.
- Credentials and data handling. Read the tool publisher’s explanation of whether it asks for game credentials, what information it reads, and what it stores. Vendor assurances are not independent verification.
- Platform requirements. Evonex describes its automation as Windows software and lists emulator options, but compatibility requirements can change. Check the publisher’s current documentation before installing anything.
- Publisher rules and account risk. Evonex warns that game publishers set rules for third-party tools and that automation may violate those rules or risk an account. The current official Evony terms governing these specific tools have not been established here, so do not treat the vendor warning as a definitive ruling on Evony policy.
Is there an official Evony map scanner?
The available descriptions do not verify an official product named “Evony: Map Scanner.” The App Store identifies Evony: The King’s Return as a free-to-play game with optional real-money purchases and a real-time world map, but that does not confirm an official scanner. If you choose a third-party tool, identify it by its actual name and publisher, and assess its features and risks on that basis.
