Fallout 4 has 20 bobbleheads: seven raise SPECIAL stats, seven grant utility bonuses, and six improve weapon damage. This guide lists every location and permanent effect, with access notes for the pickups that may require quests or preparation. Collect all 20 to unlock the “They’re Action Figures” achievement or trophy.
How to use this checklist
Most bobblehead areas can be revisited, but reaching some requires quest progress, keys, or entering dangerous locations. PowerPyx reports that no bobblehead is permanently missable in ordinary play; for harder areas, returning later with better equipment is a practical option. The Charisma bobblehead has a specific quest-chain risk described below.

Quest access and the Charisma exception
Charisma: Parsons State Insane Asylum
The Charisma bobblehead depends on the Cabot House quest chain. The Fallout Wiki notes that if Emogene disappears during “Emogene Takes a Lover,” “The Secret of Cabot House” may not start, which can block access to this pickup. The Wiki reports PC console commands as a workaround; on consoles, a fresh save may be required. This is a specific quest-progression problem, not a general rule that bobbleheads disappear permanently.

Other access considerations
Some sites are quest-gated, locked, or dangerous enough to be better left until later. For example, Energy Weapons is in Fort Hagen Command Center and is accessible during or after “Reunions.” If a location is not reachable yet, continue the relevant quest or return when better prepared rather than assuming the bobblehead has been lost.

What collecting all 20 gives you
Each pickup is permanent: SPECIAL bobbleheads add one point to the named stat, while the other bobbleheads provide their listed utility or combat bonus. Finding all 20 also unlocks the “They’re Action Figures” achievement or trophy.
