Not on the evidence available. FC 27 for PlayStation 5 was the best-selling game in Spain’s retail chart for September 2026, according to AEVI’s report of Game Sales Data. That is a country-, month- and channel-specific result—not proof that FC 27 is 2026’s global or year-to-date top seller.
What the September chart actually shows
AEVI reported FC 27 for PS5 as the leading game in Spain’s September 2026 retail list, based on Game Sales Data. The finding supports saying that FC 27 topped Spain’s September retail chart; it does not establish the same result for digital sales, other countries, or the full year. AEVI
The available AEVI page could not be retrieved, so the ranking is attributable to AEVI’s report and should be read narrowly. No independent global 2026 sales total or revenue ranking is established by this result.
Why this does not settle the global or yearly question
A US chart from Circana provides a different, earlier snapshot: its year-to-date retail-and-digital ranking, published September 1, 2026, covers sales through July and names Resident Evil: Requiem first. FC 27 launched on September 25, so that chart predates the game and cannot measure its launch-month performance or later rank. It is not a direct comparison with Spain’s September retail chart. To call a game “2026’s top seller” without qualification would require a defined market, period and measure—such as worldwide units or revenue—and a source covering that scope. The cited chart result does not provide those figures.
