FIFA Heroes is real and available now on iOS and Android. FIFA describes it as a five-a-side arcade football game with matches of roughly two minutes, real-time competition, special abilities and collectible characters. Motorola is the game’s official smartphone partner—not its developer or publisher.
The mobile game launched globally on June 28, 2026, according to FIFA. It is connected to the 2026 World Cup, but it is not a traditional 11-a-side tournament simulator or a continuation of EA’s former FIFA Mobile series.
What is FIFA Heroes?
FIFA Heroes is a fast, arcade-style football game built around five-a-side matches. FIFA says games last approximately two minutes, making the title suited to short mobile sessions rather than long simulation matches.
Its gameplay combines real-time PvP, ranked progression, leaderboards, squad-building, upgrades, character skills and power-ups. Launch materials mention abilities such as Meteor Shot and Magnetiser, although live-service games can change their mechanics and ability balance over time.

The game is closer to a character-based arcade sports title than to a realistic football simulator. Expect fantasy abilities and dramatic attacking plays rather than the tactical authenticity, full league structure and conventional career systems associated with simulation-focused football games.
It is also separate from EA Sports FC Mobile and from the older FIFA Mobile franchise. FIFA Heroes is a new FIFA-licensed game developed by ENVER with Solace, rather than an EA sequel.
Who made and published it?
The companies have distinct roles:
- FIFA: The licensor and strategic gaming partner.
- Solace: The publisher. The U.S. App Store lists Solace Games SARL as the seller and developer entity.
- ENVER: The development studio identified in FIFA’s original announcement.
- Motorola: The official smartphone partner, with branding, device integration and promotional content.
That distinction matters. Saying that “Motorola and FIFA launched” the game is understandable as partnership shorthand, but the available announcements do not identify Motorola as the game’s developer or publisher.
What does Motorola add?
Motorola says it will have a direct presence inside FIFA Heroes and that select upcoming Motorola smartphones will offer instant access or pre-installation. The partnership also includes Motorola-specific experiences and promotional content.

Motorola’s FIFA materials promote possible rewards and features for eligible users, including power-up tokens, gems, emotes, a retro razr goal celebration and playable content. The exact eligibility rules may vary by phone, market and promotion, so these benefits should not be treated as universal for every Motorola owner.
Motorola is also highlighting FIFA-themed phone software and hardware promotions, including wallpapers, a tournament ringtone and a FIFA World Cup photo watermark. Its regional razr materials describe a wider-screen FIFA Heroes experience when the foldable is opened, with more room for the pitch and controls.
FIFA Heroes is not a Motorola-exclusive game. It is available on iOS and Android generally, so buying a Motorola phone solely to play it is difficult to justify. A Motorola device should be evaluated on its full specifications, price, battery, display, software support and durability—not just on the partnership.
World Cup connection and character roster
FIFA positions FIFA Heroes as part of its digital football portfolio and announced a FIFA World Cup 26 game mode tied to the tournament period. It is accurate to call the game an official FIFA-licensed title connected to the 2026 World Cup.

It is not accurate to imply that it offers a conventional World Cup simulation with realistic national-team presentation. The game’s fantasy format brings together footballers, legends, creators, celebrities, fictional characters and World Cup mascots.
Launch materials name examples including Enzo Fernández, João Pedro, iShowSpeed, J Balvin, Central Cee and Luva de Pedreiro. The 2026 World Cup mascots—Maple the Moose of Canada, Zayu the Jaguar of Mexico and Clutch the Bald Eagle of the United States—also appear as playable characters.
Character availability, unlock methods, regional licensing and future additions can change as the live-service game receives new seasons and events.
Platforms and how to play
FIFA’s launch announcement confirms a global mobile release on June 28, 2026. As of August 18, the game is available through the Apple App Store and Google Play.

The U.S. App Store listing requires iOS 16.0 or later. Android hardware requirements, regional availability and performance can differ, so Android users should rely on the requirements shown in their local Google Play listing.
Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox and PC versions were announced or described as planned. The mobile launch should not be confused with simultaneous availability on every platform. Check the relevant official store before assuming that a console or PC version is live.

FIFA Heroes is free to download, but the U.S. App Store listing includes in-app purchases, advertising and loot boxes. It also lists a paid Premium Season Pass.

Prices can vary by country, platform, taxes, promotions and later updates. These purchases are not evidence that spending is required to try the game, but they are important for anyone considering it for a child or for frequent competitive play.

The U.S. App Store gives the game a 9+ rating and reports developer-provided privacy disclosures involving categories such as coarse location, identifiers, usage data, diagnostics and advertising-related information. Those disclosures are not an independent privacy audit. Parents should review the game’s privacy policy, use device-level purchase restrictions and check the local store listing before allowing purchases.
Should you try FIFA Heroes?
Try it if you want quick, chaotic five-a-side matches, character abilities, online competition and a game designed for repeat mobile sessions.
Look elsewhere if you want realistic 11-a-side football, authentic tactical play, conventional career modes or a full tournament simulation.
Motorola ownership is optional. Motorola users may receive device-specific access or promotional content, but the partnership does not make a Motorola phone necessary. The strongest reason to buy one would be the phone itself; FIFA Heroes should be treated as an additional feature rather than the deciding factor.
What remains uncertain
Several details can change or vary by market: exact Android requirements, console and PC release timing, cross-play, cross-progression, controller support, character availability and the rules for Motorola-exclusive rewards. FIFA Heroes is a live-service game, so its seasons, events, prices, roster and balance may not remain identical to the launch version.
For the current mobile release, the clearest picture is simple: FIFA Heroes is FIFA’s licensed arcade football game, Solace’s published title and Motorola’s smartphone partnership—not a Motorola-developed FIFA simulator.
