If Gyre does not recognize your YouTube channel, reconnect through Gyre’s Connect with YouTube flow using the Google Account that owns the channel, then add or select the intended channel. A YouTube Studio invitation gives another person channel permissions; YouTube says invited delegates cannot access YouTube APIs, so that invitation may not provide the authorization Gyre needs. This is a troubleshooting hypothesis, not a confirmed cause for every case.
Reconnect the channel through Gyre
- In Gyre’s stream creation flow, select YouTube and choose Connect with YouTube.
- When Google’s authorization step opens, sign in with the Google Account that owns the intended YouTube channel and authorize the connection.
- In Gyre, add the channel or select it from the already connected channels. If the Google Account is associated with multiple channels, check that you selected the right one.
Gyre says each channel must be authorized separately. Being signed into an account that manages several channels does not by itself ensure that Gyre has the intended channel selected.
Check what “granted access” meant
There are two different access paths that can sound alike:

A Studio permission grant can let someone help manage a channel, but it is not necessarily the same as authorizing a third-party app through Google. The distinction matters when Gyre is trying to connect to the channel through its API.

If this is the channel’s first live stream
Check whether YouTube channel verification is complete. Gyre lists verification as a prerequisite for first-time live streaming and says it may take up to 24 hours. That is a live-stream eligibility check; it does not establish that verification is the cause of a channel missing from Gyre.
If the channel still does not appear
- Record the exact error text Gyre displays.
- Note which Google Account completed the authorization and whether that account owns the channel or only has delegated permissions.
- Confirm whether the intended channel was offered in Gyre’s selection step and whether you selected it.
- Contact Gyre support with those details if authorization completed but the channel remains absent.
Gyre’s public help material does not describe this exact symptom as a distinct known error or prescribe a specific reset, cache-clearing, or authorization-revocation procedure. Its article titled “Authorization error” concerns signing in to a Gyre account, not Gyre failing to recognize a YouTube channel. Re-uploading stream videos is also a separate issue: Gyre requires stream files to be uploaded to Gyre Storage, but that requirement does not determine whether an authorized channel is recognized.
