For Honor error 00032148270097 means matchmaking failed, but the code does not identify one confirmed cause or a guaranteed fix. Check Ubisoft’s live service status first. If service is available, fully close the game, follow Ubisoft’s PlayStation connectivity troubleshooting, and try matchmaking again.
What error 00032148270097 means
The message “Matchmaking has failed” indicates that For Honor could not complete matchmaking. Ubisoft’s available code-related support response does not map 00032148270097 to one specific cause, so the code alone cannot tell you whether the issue is an outage, your connection, or the group you are trying to join.
Ubisoft’s response to players reporting this code after maintenance recommended fully closing For Honor, following the connectivity troubleshooting steps for the relevant platform, then reopening the game and trying matchmaking again. The archived response is from January 3, 2022; it is a documented troubleshooting recommendation, not a promise that those steps resolve every occurrence.
Check whether For Honor services are available
Before changing console or router settings, check Ubisoft’s For Honor Server Status page and review the result for your platform. The page is live and can change; a status result seen at another time does not establish whether matchmaking is working now. If Ubisoft reports maintenance or an outage, wait for service to return and then retry.

Try Ubisoft’s recommended PlayStation troubleshooting
- Fully close For Honor. Exit the game rather than leaving it suspended or in the background.
- Open Ubisoft’s connectivity guide for PlayStation. Follow the current instructions for your console and connection. The official guide is linked from Ubisoft’s code-related support response; use its current platform-specific directions rather than applying settings from an unrelated console or router guide.
- Launch For Honor and retry matchmaking. If matchmaking still fails, note whether the error appears when playing solo, only in a group, or in both situations.
When NAT or your party may be relevant
NAT is one possible diagnostic factor, not a confirmed explanation for this error. In its March 15, 2017 explanation of For Honor matchmaking, Ubisoft said Strict NAT can increase matchmaking time and reduce the chance of joining a session. The same historical article says some combinations of players’ NAT types can be incompatible. Its example describes a 4v4 match potentially requiring seven Open NAT players for a Strict NAT player; that is an illustration from the 2017 explanation, not a current measured statistic or a diagnosis of your connection.
Ubisoft also wrote that NAT has low impact on connection quality and stability once players are in a match, apart from specific situations, while it can substantially affect matchmaking speed and quality. That distinction matters: trouble finding a match may justify checking NAT, but it does not mean NAT is the cause of every failed queue.

- If you know the NAT types in your group, note them. Ubisoft’s explanation identifies Strict NAT, and certain mixes of Strict and Moderate NAT, as potential matchmaking obstacles.
Follow current official instructions if they recommend network changes. The available code-specific guidance does not establish DMZ, broad port forwarding, a factory reset, DNS changes, database rebuilding, crossplay changes, or reinstalling the game as guaranteed fixes.
