Epic planned to begin Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2: MEGA downtime at 2 a.m. ET on Friday, March 10, 2023—11 p.m. PT on Thursday, March 9, and 7 a.m. GMT on March 10. That was the announced start of downtime, not a confirmed time when the game became playable again.
When did Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 downtime start?
Epic’s planned downtime start for Chapter 4 Season 2: MEGA was 2 a.m. Eastern Time on March 10, 2023. The Fortnite Status account’s notice, quoted in MP1st’s March 10 report, said the game would go into downtime at that time.
For other time zones, the announced start was 11 p.m. Pacific Time on Thursday, March 9, and 7 a.m. GMT on Friday, March 10, according to The Loadout’s timing report.
When could players actually play the new season?
The announced downtime start does not establish when servers came back online. The available timing reports do not confirm an exact playable time, and downtime duration could vary. So 2 a.m. ET is best understood as the planned beginning of maintenance, not a guaranteed moment to enter the new season.
