The controller behind this headline is likely the Xbox Wireless Controller – Limited Edition Forza Horizon 6. Xbox announced it in April 2026 at a U.S. preorder MSRP of $89.99, but the available evidence does not confirm a current discount, retailer listing, or stock status for October 7, 2026. The “best deal today” claim is therefore unverified.
Which Forza controller is this?
Xbox announced the Xbox Wireless Controller – Limited Edition Forza Horizon 6 on April 20, 2026. That is the likely product meant by the headline; it should not be confused with an older Forza Horizon 5 controller.

Xbox describes its bright cyan and lime design as inspired by Forza Horizon 6’s Japan setting and the country’s Touge roads. The color and design description is the manufacturer’s, not an independent review. Xbox’s product page identifies the limited-edition controller and a matching headset.
What price did Xbox announce?
Xbox announced a U.S. preorder MSRP of $89.99 for the controller in April 2026. This is the launch announcement price, not a verified current selling price. The separately announced matching headset had an MSRP of $134.99; that price is not the controller’s price.

Is the controller discounted today?
A Microsoft Store controller collection showed a general $10-off offer for Xbox wireless controllers in the U.S. and Canada, valid September 17 through October 1, 2026. The offer period has ended, and the collection result did not establish that the Forza Horizon 6 Limited Edition model qualified. It is not evidence of a current discount.
As of October 7, 2026, the available information does not establish a dated, exact-model retailer offer, its price, seller, or stock. A September 11 social post used a $27 price and described the controller as nearly 70% off, but that is not verified retailer evidence and does not establish availability today.

How to tell whether a listing is a real deal
Before treating a price as a discount—or calling it the best offer—check the exact model and the full checkout cost. Compare any current price with Xbox’s $89.99 U.S. announcement MSRP, while remembering that MSRP is a reference point, not proof of a retailer’s former or current price.
- Model: Confirm the listing names the Forza Horizon 6 Limited Edition Xbox Wireless Controller, not a different Forza controller or the matching headset.
- Price and date: Check the live product page and note when the price was observed. A past social post or expired promotion does not establish today’s price.
- Seller and condition: Verify who sells and ships it, and whether the item is new, used, refurbished, or open-box.
- Availability and delivery: Confirm stock and the estimated delivery date for your location.
- Total cost: Include shipping, taxes, and any fees before comparing offers.
What the “best deal” claim can—and cannot—mean
The product is real, and Xbox announced a $89.99 U.S. preorder MSRP. But the available information does not verify a current exact-model discount or enough competing offers to rank one as the best Xbox accessory deal. Until a live listing confirms the model, price, seller, condition, availability, and total cost, treat the headline’s deal claim as unsubstantiated.
