The studio acknowledged on October 6, 2026, that it had not been talking with players as much as it could.
What did Playground Games say?
In a statement posted on October 6, Playground Games acknowledged criticism of its communication and post-launch updates. The studio said: “We’re reading all your comments about Forza Horizon 6, and we realise that we haven’t been talking with you as much as we could be.”
It added that, while it continues to deliver content and fixes, it is “looking into future changes to both in-game content and the ways we communicate with you.” The statement ended with “Stay tuned!” It does not specify what might change, when players might hear more, or whether the studio will adopt a particular communication schedule. The wording signals that the feedback is being considered, not that a remedy has been confirmed. Traxion reproduced the statement; Dot Esports also reported on the response.
What are players criticizing?
Coverage of the reaction describes complaints about limited communication, monthly Festival Playlist updates that some players perceive as repetitive, and late-game content that some describe as repetitive. These are reported criticisms, not proof that all—or most—players share the same view. The sources reviewed do not provide a representative measure of player dissatisfaction.

Traxion frames the communication complaint against the previous game’s monthly “Let’s ¡GO!” livestreams and video explainers, contrasting them with website posts. That is the outlet’s context for the criticism, not an explanation Playground Games has given for its communications approach.
How does the October 5 update fit in?
Playground published the Horizon Meets release notes on October 5, the day before its response. The update included 7-Eleven content, Horizon Play levels, a Treasure Car, new Festival Playlist rewards, and fixes the studio described as based on feedback and reports submitted through the Forza Feedback Portal. The notes direct players with unresolved issues to that portal.

The timing provides context, but Playground did not say the October 5 release was a response to the criticism. Nor did the October 6 statement promise a content overhaul. The update and the response are separate announcements.
What update cadence had the studio previously announced?
In its May 22, 2026 community post, Playground said the game was available worldwide on Xbox Series X|S and PC and that future series updates would arrive monthly. That records the studio’s stated cadence at the time; it is not evidence that every update arrived on schedule.

What should players expect next?
For now, the only confirmed development is that Playground says it is reading feedback and looking into possible changes to both game content and communication. The studio has not confirmed a specific change, delivery date, or new format. Players seeking help with an unresolved issue can use the Forza Feedback Portal linked from the Horizon Meets release notes; the October 6 statement itself is not a support process or a schedule for future announcements.
