NetEase describes FragPunk as a free-to-play, 5v5 hero shooter: five players per team. Players choose a hero, adjust weapon loadouts and select Shard Cards that change gameplay rules for each round. The cards are the key distinction conveyed by the game’s premise: rounds can have different rules rather than repeating under an unchanged set of conditions. That describes the publisher’s design; the trailer and announcement do not establish balance, performance, player reception or current player population.
What platforms is FragPunk on, and how did its release dates change?
The beta platforms and later launch information are different announcements. NetEase’s December 2024 launch announcement named PC, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, with crossplay, and originally gave March 6, 2025 as the launch date. The PlayStation Store listing records April 29, 2025 as the PS5 release date. Do not treat the earlier March date as the final date shown for the PS5 release.

The sources describe FragPunk as free-to-play digital software; the PlayStation listing is for a digital game. Nothing in the TGS announcement establishes a physical edition, branded merchandise or a required accessory.
