Gameplay Galaxy announced a $12.8 million seed round on September 7, 2022, led by Blockchain Capital, to develop a Web3 competitive-gaming ecosystem starting with the Trial Xtreme franchise. The Block later reported an $11.17 million seed extension in August 2024, bringing the company’s reported funding total to $24 million at that time. The planned game features and launch timeline should not be confused with confirmed releases.

What Gameplay Galaxy said it was building
The 2022 announcement framed the project as a decentralized competitive-gaming ecosystem, initially based on Trial Xtreme. Its proposed player-owned digital assets included vehicles, racetracks, characters and workshops, represented as NFTs and traded through a decentralized marketplace. The company also described earning opportunities through tournament competition and hosting events. These were announced plans; the announcement does not establish that every feature became available.

Gameplay Galaxy used its existing games to explain the intended fit between customization and competition. In its 2022 company post, it said 85% of paying users used bike upgrades and customization, while 60% chose customized outfits. It also said tournaments in which players represented countries generated an average of 20 additional races, and that players spent more than 20 times the first-place prize in coins. The company did not provide a measurement period or methodology for these historical figures, so they should be read as its own account of player behavior, not independently verified results. The post also described the earlier game ecosystem as having a quarter billion downloads.
What is Trial Xtreme Freedom?
In August 2024, The Block described Trial Xtreme Freedom as Gameplay Galaxy’s inaugural Web3 title, then in development. Its report identified track ownership and bike crafting and upgrades as planned elements. CEO Doron Kagan told the publication that Web3 features would be optional. That account describes development and intended mechanics, not confirmation that the features shipped. The Block’s report has the details.

Gameplay Galaxy’s current site presents the company as a multi-game studio, links to Trial Xtreme and says the game moved from soft launch toward a global-ready platform, with an “epic 2026 launch” ahead. That wording describes a prospective launch; it does not confirm that a global release has happened. The site also claims more than 300 million downloads for Trial Xtreme and Duels together, but gives no measurement date or methodology. This is a differently scoped, later company claim than the quarter-billion figure in the 2022 post, so the two figures should not be combined as though they were a single tracked total. Gameplay Galaxy’s site is the source for its current positioning and download claim.

The financing announcements document investor backing and the company’s stated plans; they do not by themselves demonstrate that its proposed Web3 economy or game features are live. The 2022 announcement is the source for the initial round and early ecosystem concept, while the 2024 report documents a later extension and Trial Xtreme Freedom’s development status at that time. Current launch language on the company site remains forward-looking rather than confirmation of a completed global release.

These are statements by the company’s CEO and an investor, respectively, rather than independent evaluations. Both quotations appeared in the company announcement.
