Lies of P is the closest match in this shortlist if you want Bloodborne-like Gothic atmosphere and aggressive melee combat. For demanding, timing-focused action, try Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice; for a much larger world and broader build choices, choose Elden Ring. Dark Souls Remastered is a good starting point for the slower, more measured Souls formula. These are alternatives, not Bloodborne ports or clones, and each has a distinct setting and combat identity.
Which Bloodborne-like PC game should you play?
| Game | Best fit if you want… | How it differs from Bloodborne |
|---|---|---|
| Lies of P | Gothic cues and forceful combat | Its Belle Époque setting and puppet horror give it a distinct identity. |
| Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice | Demanding, timing-based action | It emphasizes deflection, stealth and traversal rather than Bloodborne-style build variety. |
| Elden Ring | Exploration across a large world and flexible builds | Its open-world scale is a different experience from Bloodborne’s tighter Gothic world. |
| Dark Souls Remastered | A foundational, more measured Souls experience | Its pace is slower and its world denser than the later entries discussed here. |

Lies of P: the closest match for Gothic atmosphere
Of these recommendations, Lies of P most directly combines Gothic cues with forceful combat. PCGamesN calls it a worthy substitute for Bloodborne, pointing to its Victorian Gothic influences and fast, brutal fighting (PCGamesN’s Soulslike guide, updated February 11, 2026).
It is an alternative, not a replica. The Belle Époque-inspired world and puppet-horror premise give the game its own look and identity. Choose it if your main reason for looking for a Bloodborne-like game is its dark atmosphere and aggressive melee action.

#1 Best Overall
Sekiro: choose deflection over dodge-roll combat
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice suits players who want intense action built around timing, but not necessarily Bloodborne’s style of character builds. Its official site describes a late-1500s Sengoku Japan setting, with stealth, vertical traversal, prosthetic tools and direct combat. The site calls it an adventure from FromSoftware, “creators of Elden Ring, Bloodborne, and the Dark Souls series” (official Sekiro site).
The key combat difference is deflection and posture: success depends on meeting attacks and pressuring opponents, rather than relying mainly on a dodge-roll rhythm. Consider Sekiro if mastering a demanding combat system matters more to you than choosing among a wide range of builds.

Elden Ring: the pick for open-world exploration
Elden Ring brings FromSoftware action-RPG roots to a much broader exploration experience. Steam describes it as an open-world action RPG with single-player and online modes; PCGamesN’s guide also highlights exploration and build variety (Elden Ring on Steam; PCGamesN’s Soulslike guide).
Pick it when you want room to explore and flexibility in how you develop your character. Its scale and broad fantasy setting make it a different proposition from Bloodborne’s tighter Gothic world, even though both share challenging action-RPG DNA.

Dark Souls Remastered: a slower, denser starting point
Dark Souls Remastered is a sensible choice if you want to explore the series’ foundational formula. PCGamesN characterizes the original Dark Souls as slower and denser than its successors. That measured pace makes it less of a direct match for Bloodborne’s aggressive feel, but a useful option if deliberate combat and a compact, interconnected-feeling world appeal to you.
Steam’s FromSoftware catalog lists Dark Souls Remastered alongside Dark Souls II, Dark Souls III, Sekiro and Elden Ring; check the current listing for edition details before buying.
