Resident Evil Requiem released on February 27, 2026, so there’s no need to wait for it. If you’re looking for another horror game, try Dead Space for a survival-horror pick, Silent Hill 2 for a different kind of horror, or Alan Wake 2 for a narrative-focused change of style. None is an exact substitute for Requiem’s mix of Grace Ashcroft’s resource-conscious sections and Leon S. Kennedy’s more action-led play.
What makes Resident Evil Requiem distinctive?
Capcom describes Resident Evil Requiem as the ninth main game in the series and a survival-horror title. It released on February 27, 2026. Capcom announced it for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, and later announced a Nintendo Switch 2 launch release.
The game follows FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft and agent Leon S. Kennedy. PlayStation’s U.S. product page describes a blend of combat, investigation, puzzles and resource management, with a choice between first- and third-person views. The two leads are not interchangeable: Grace’s sections emphasize limited supplies, enemy analysis and crafting, while Leon’s lean more toward firearms, melee, parries and equipment upgrades.
That contrast is the best way to choose what to play next. If you want another survival-horror game, start with Dead Space. If you’re open to a different horror experience, consider Silent Hill 2. For horror with a narrative-focused change of style, try Alan Wake 2.

Three games to try after Resident Evil Requiem

Silent Hill 2 belongs on the list for readers who want horror but are not looking for a close Resident Evil-style match. The available official information establishes it as a relevant horror-game option, but does not provide enough detail for a responsible comparison of its mechanics with Requiem’s.

Alan Wake 2: choose a narrative-focused change of style
Alan Wake 2 is another horror option, best framed as a change of style rather than a substitute for Requiem’s combination of resource-conscious play and more direct combat. Consider it if you want to explore horror beyond the familiar Resident Evil approach.
