What it is

Bridge Constructor is a bridge-building simulation from ClockStone, released in 2012. Design structures across valleys, canals and rivers, then see whether cars and trucks can cross them or whether the construction gives way under their weight. Players choose among wood, steel, cables and concrete pillars, working within a budget and using load indicators to judge how materials perform. The game includes 64 levels across six settings: City, Canyon, Beach, Mountains, Hills and Grotto. The Steam version also includes the SlopeMania add-on, with more levels, features and a new setting, plus sloping roads. Vehicles used for load tests include cars, trucks and tank trucks. Steam features include single-player, full controller support, Cloud, Achievements, Leaderboards, Remote Play on Phone and Tablet, and Family Sharing. It is available on Windows, macOS and Linux through Steam, with PlayStation Vita also listed. The Steam release date is October 16, 2013.

Who it suits

Bridge Constructor suits players who enjoy designing structures and testing them against vehicle loads. Its budget and material choices give builders constraints to work within across multiple settings.

Bridge Constructor turns bridge design into a series of budget and load challenges. The Steam edition adds SlopeMania and supports Windows, macOS and Linux.
