What it is
DX-Ball 2 is a brick-breaking game from Longbow Games, released for Windows in 1998 and reissued as a 20th Anniversary Edition in 2018. It includes 150 boards from the original Board Pack 1, along with an anniversary boardset and widescreen variants. Players can switch between high-resolution board textures and the original-style graphics, use classic and new power-ups, and save progress to continue later. Dynamic boards change during play, while a punch paddle breaks multi-hit bricks and a gravity paddle moves the ball from a distance. The game also has online leaderboards, achievements, and collectible charms. Its editor and Steam Workshop support let players create and share custom boardsets. Steam features include single-player and multiplayer, PvP, shared-screen PvP, and Remote Play Together. Classic mode keeps to the original features and look.
