What it is
Hegemony III: Clash of the Ancients is a real-time strategy wargame from Longbow Games, set in ancient Italy before the eras of Caesar, Alexander, and Philip. Players command armies in paused or real-time battles, maneuvering units into formations or around enemy flanks. Away from combat, they build and protect farms and supply lines to feed an expanding empire, while raids can disrupt opponents’ resources. The conflict pits Rome, Etruscan forces, Gallic groups, and Greek city-states against one another, with more than 25 factions across four cultures to choose from. A built-in map editor lets players make historical or fantasy worlds and share them through Steam Workshop. Steam also lists achievements, trading cards, captions, cloud support, and Family Sharing. The game is single-player and listed for Windows.
