What it is
I Am Alive is a single-player post-apocalyptic action-adventure from Ubisoft Shanghai. Set one year after a cataclysmic event, it follows a man crossing a devastated city in search of his wife and daughter. The ruined streets contain toxic dust and rubble, while survivors may be helpful, frightened or hostile. Climbing damaged skyscrapers can lead to remaining resources, but encounters call for caution: combat is deadly and ammunition is scarce, and intimidation can be used against groups of enemies. The PC version includes an Easy mode with infinite retries and a Replay mode for revisiting levels to find alternate paths, secrets and resources. Players can customize graphics settings and configure mouse, keyboard or game pad controls. I Am Alive is listed for Windows and PlayStation 3, with Steam features including single-player, partial controller support and Family Sharing.
