What it is

Lords of the Realm is a medieval strategy game from Impressions Games, released in 1994. Set in England in 1268, it begins with an empty throne and puts you in charge of a small county as you seek to become king. Its play combines seasonal, turn-based kingdom management with real-time battles. You can manage farms, trade, taxation, transport and crop rotation, while keeping your people secure and prosperous. Diplomacy includes bargaining, alliances and betrayal; you can also build and design castles with features such as moats, towers, drawbridges and keeps. Expand your lands by leading armies against rival nobles, with up to five AI opponents in the fight for the crown. The game is single-player and supports Family Sharing.
