What it is
Monster Hunter Stories is a turn-based RPG from Marvelous in which players raise monsters and live alongside them as a Monster Rider, rather than hunting them. The story begins in a village of Riders, then sends the hero into the world of Hunters, whose way of life differs from the Riders’. As a calamity called the Black Blight threatens both groups, the hero must face trials and help bring Riders and Hunters closer together. This first entry in the series is fully voiced in Japanese and English. It also includes a museum mode for listening to music and viewing concept art. The Windows Steam version is single-player and multiplayer, with PvP and online PvP listed. Other Steam features include achievements, controller support, Steam Cloud and Family Sharing. The game is also listed for Nintendo 3DS. Marvelous developed it, and CAPCOM Co., Ltd. published it.
