What it is
Palais de Reine is a diplomatic queen simulation and medieval fantasy romance from Kogado Studio. You play Filia, heir to the throne, whose nobles give her one year to demonstrate that she can rule. The divided kingdom needs support, and you select four nobles to help lead the country. The game blends visual-novel storytelling with strategic simulation: you send your chosen nobles on quests to neighboring kingdoms and work to win support. You can pursue the work of uniting the land, or let romance shape Filia’s future by taking one of the nobles as her consort. The candidates include figures with different backgrounds and motives, from a childhood friend to a dark elf diplomat and a wolfman. Palais de Reine is a single-player game for Windows, with Steam Cloud and Family Sharing. Its central choice is how Filia will use her trial year: to establish her right to rule, pursue affection, or navigate both.
