What it is
Symphonic Rain is a visual novel and music game developed by Kogado Studio, set in Piova, a city where rain and music shape daily life. Chris Vertin has spent more than two years studying to become a Fortenist, a player of the magical Fortelle. With graduation approaching, he needs to perform an original song with a vocal partner, but he has not begun looking for one. His days revolve around letters from his girlfriend and a small musical fairy in his room. The game combines visual-novel storytelling with music-based play, including musical sections that affect its multiple endings. The Windows edition was released on Steam on June 14, 2017, and presents remastered HD artwork by original character designer Siro. Its listed Steam features include single-player, achievements, trading cards, Steam Cloud, and Family Sharing. Kogado Studio developed the game, and KOMODO published it.
