What it is
Planet Stronghold is a science-fiction role-playing game by Riva Celso, built around turn-based combat and a branching story. You play a new recruit assigned to a heavily defended human outpost, then face choices about which side to support in a conflict that affects the planet and humanity. The plot changes according to decisions, and situations can have non-combat solutions using skills such as Science, Sneak and Explosives. Combat uses tactical battles, character stats and items, with more than 40 enemy types, including boss fights. Players can choose a male or female protagonist, select among four classes and pursue romances, including same-sex romance. Crafting adds more than 80 weapons and armors. The game is single-player, with Steam Cloud, Achievements, Trading Cards, Family Sharing and partial controller support. It is listed for Windows, macOS and Linux.
