What it is
RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 is a construction and management simulation from Frontier Developments, released in 2004. Its Platinum edition combines the base theme park game with the Soaked! and Wild! expansions. Build a park, design roller coasters and rides, and watch guests react to what you create. Soaked! adds water slides, while Wild! brings animal safaris, jungle and prehistoric themes, and 12 scenarios. The game also offers dozens of scenarios across three difficulty modes, plus Sandbox mode for building without limits. Park cameras can be controlled to view attractions in 3D, and Coaster Cam puts the view in the front seat of a ride. You can make guests and groups with the Peep Designer, and add your own music to rides, fireworks, and laser shows. Weather changes, sunsets, and moonlight add variation to park scenes. The listed platforms include Windows and macOS; Steam lists Windows, with single-player and Family Sharing features.
