What it is
Rushing Beat X: Return of Brawl Brothers is a beat ’em up from City Connection, set in Neo-Cisco after the Joecal crime syndicate and Zeekus virus threaten the city again. A small group of fighters takes on a rising evil while seeking the mastermind behind earlier events. The game has nine stages set in places such as shopping malls, slums, subways, and laboratories, with side missions in each scene. Auto-combos make attacks accessible, while counters, follow-up strikes, weapon attacks, dashes, and jumps offer ways to extend combos. Throws can be directed into the background to break otherwise unreachable objects. Dealing and receiving damage builds a rage gauge; at maximum, rage mode boosts attack and defense and enables the Beat Rush finishing move. The story mode supports two-player co-op. Steam features include single-player, co-op, shared or split-screen co-op, achievements, full controller support, Steam Cloud, and Family Sharing. Steam availability is Windows; the broader platform listing also includes Xbox Series X and Series S.
