What it is

Zero Gunner 2 is a top-down shooter from City Connection, first released in arcades in 2001 and released for Windows in 2020. Players pilot one of three attack helicopters: Comanche, Apache or Hokum. Each has a normal shot, a sub-shot and a Drone Attack, which uses energy to deal heavy damage.

The game’s Turn Marker system lets players set an axis for changing direction, helping them respond to threats coming from around the screen. Settings include seven difficulty levels, screen filters, adjustable lives and continues, and configurable controls for shooting, turning and Drone Attacks. A Score Attack mode uses a fixed difficulty and number of lives, while online rankings let players compare scores. Steam lists single-player, multiplayer and local co-op, including shared or split-screen play. Zero Gunner 2 is built around helicopter combat, directional control and score challenges.
