What it is
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat is a single-player action and role-playing game from GSC Game World. Players take the role of Major Alexander Degtyarev, a Ukrainian Security Service operative investigating a missing military expedition and crashed government helicopters in the Zone. The route runs through swampy Zaton, the Jupiter plant’s industrial areas, Pripyat, and underground catacombs. The Zone’s anomalous activity brings sudden destructive emissions, new anomalies, and dangerous mutants, including the night-hunting Chimera and telepathic Burer. Players must find shelter during emissions and make careful decisions about the people they meet, some of whom may help with the investigation. Steam lists multiplayer, PvP, online PvP, LAN PvP, Steam Cloud, and Family Sharing in addition to single-player. The game is listed for Windows.
