What it is

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky is a single-player prequel to S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, developed by GSC Game World. You play Scar, a mercenary caught up in the Zone after a major anomalous energy blowout reshapes it. The story follows his role in Strelok’s fate and reveals more about the events behind the original game. Faction conflicts over territory, artifact fields and influence form another part of the struggle; Scar can join a faction or work for several as a mercenary. The changed Zone also opens unfamiliar areas for exploration as former routes become dangerous or inaccessible. Steam lists multiplayer, PvP, online PvP and LAN PvP alongside single-player, plus Steam Cloud and Family Sharing. The game is available for Windows and its Steam release date is September 15, 2008.
