What it is
Sengoku is a strategy game set in 16th-century Japan, where you play as a feudal lord seeking to unite the country. The campaign combines military conquest with clan politics: manage ties with family, friends, and enemies, build influence within your clan, and reward retainers as you pursue control of Japan. Its historical map divides the country into more than 350 provinces during the Warring States era. Relations with Shinto, Christian, and Buddhist factions are also part of play, and ninja clans can assist when samurai forces are insufficient. The listed genres span real-time strategy, grand strategy, wargame, RPG, simulation, and strategy. Steam lists single-player and multiplayer, plus Trading Cards and Family Sharing. The game was developed by Development Studio and published by Paradox Interactive. It is listed for Microsoft Windows, with a Steam release date of Sep 15, 2011.
