What it is
Shadwen is a third-person stealth-action game from Frozenbyte, released in 2016 for Windows, macOS and Linux. You play Shadwen, an assassin pursuing the king who encounters Lily, an orphaned girl. The journey raises a choice between using violence in front of Lily and seeking another way while concealing Shadwen’s purpose. Staying unseen is central: guards react to suspicious sights and sounds, and the environment can be used to sneak, climb or create distractions. A rope enables grappling and moving objects, while physics can help make deaths appear accidental. Time stops when Shadwen stands still and can be rewound to alter actions. Steam lists single-player, achievements, full controller support, Trading Cards and Workshop support, as well as a level editor and Family Sharing. Frozenbyte is also the publisher.
