The First Templar is an action-adventure game about a French Templar and a noblewoman declared a heretic. Together, the two unlikely allies investigate the Templar Order, a larger conspiracy, and the search for the Holy Grail, while facing opponents including King Philip IV of France and the Inquisition. In solo play, players can switch between the two heroes, with the game controlling the inactive one. A second player can join at any time to control that character in drop-in/drop-out co-op.
