What it is
Various Daylife is a role-playing game from Square Enix set on the newly discovered continent of Antoecia in the year 211 of the Imperial Era. You play as a settler exploring the continent while making a life in the city of Erebia. Everyday work shapes character growth: the game offers more than 20 job classes and over 100 kinds of work, with physical tasks building strength and mental work improving magic. On expeditions, you choose which rations, items and camping gear to carry, then face monsters, bad weather and food spoilage. The turn-based battles use a three-part approach: change enemy conditions, chain attacks with allies and seize chances to deal heavy damage. The game was developed and published by Square Enix, and released for Windows on September 13, 2022. It is single-player and includes full controller support, save-anytime play, Steam Cloud, achievements and family sharing. It can also be played without timed input.
