PC Gamer named the GameSir G7 Pro Tri-Mode its current PC-controller pick and reported it at $63.99 on Amazon on October 6, 2026—$16 below its stated $79.99 prior price. That is a dated deal report, not confirmation of today’s price or stock. The controller also works with Xbox, but Xbox play requires a wired connection; wireless use is described for PC, mobile and Nintendo Switch.
What PC Gamer’s deal report says
James Bentley’s PC Gamer article, published October 6, 2026, listed the GameSir G7 Pro Tri-Mode at $63.99 on Amazon and described that as a $16 reduction from $79.99. The article also listed Best Buy at $63.99. These are prices reported on that date, not a guarantee that either retailer still has the same offer, seller or inventory.
Check the retailer’s current listing before buying. The deal report does not establish whether the October 6 prices remain available.
How it connects to PC and Xbox
PC
The G7 Pro supports wired connection to a PC, and the article describes wireless PC use. Its included charging stand also serves as the 2.4 GHz dock. PC Gamer says a single USB Type-C cable can connect the controller to a PC and charge it.

Xbox
Xbox play requires a wired connection. In James Bentley’s October 6 PC Gamer article, he wrote that the controller is compatible with PC and Xbox but “needs to be wired to work on your console.” Do not assume the controller’s wireless modes work with Xbox.

How it compares with the Razer Wolverine V3 Pro 8K
PC Gamer’s comparison favors the Razer Wolverine V3 Pro 8K for polling rate and sturdier build, while judging the GameSir a better value for average users. That is the article author’s assessment, not a universal test result. The available comparison does not state the Razer’s polling-rate figure or a price, so a precise numerical comparison is not established.

- PC players who want a controller with wired and wireless options and an included 2.4 GHz dock.
- Players who also want Xbox compatibility and are comfortable connecting by cable on Xbox.
