GameStop’s reported PS5 restock was scheduled for July 23, 2022, and was an in-person event—not an online sale. The announcement, reported the day before, said buyers needed PowerUp Rewards Pro membership, quantities would be limited, and not every store would participate. This is a historical notice, not a current restock alert.
What GameStop’s July 23 PS5 restock involved
LEVEL UP reported on July 22, 2022 that GameStop planned to offer PS5 bundles starting the next day. Its report quoted GameStop’s notice: “Visit your local GameStop for a chance to get one in person, must be a PowerUp Rewards Pro Member, quantities will be limited.” LEVEL UP’s July 22 report and a July 22 PlayStation LifeStyle update both described the restock as scheduled for July 23 and tied it to Pro membership.
Did every GameStop store have PS5 bundles?
No. The contemporaneous report cautioned that bundles would not be available at every store and recommended calling the local shop to check participation. The available reporting does not establish a participating-store list or confirm which locations ultimately had stock.
What were the membership and supply conditions?
The notice described PowerUp Rewards Pro membership as a requirement and said quantities would be limited. LEVEL UP reported the membership’s starting price as $14.99 per year at the time, with a $5 monthly reward certificate described as $60 annually. Those are July 2022 reported terms, not verified current pricing or benefits; they should not be used to infer today’s membership conditions.

Were the bundle contents and prices published?
The reporting available for the July 23 event does not establish the bundle contents or prices. Details from a different GameStop event should not be treated as terms for this sale: GameSpot’s coverage concerned an August 19–20, 2022 event, with different membership rules by day and bundle details partly described as leaks. GameSpot’s August event report is about that later sale, not the July 23 offer.
Is this a current GameStop PS5 restock notice?
No. The date in the reports was July 23, 2022. Those reports do not establish current GameStop inventory, a current restock schedule, present membership terms, or current prices. Check GameStop’s current store and product information directly before making a purchase or traveling to a location.
