Gang of Dragon is the announced action-adventure game from Toshihiro Nagoshi’s Nagoshi Studio. Its reveal describes a story set in Kabukicho, Tokyo, starring Korean actor Ma Dong-seok as crime-syndicate member Shin Ji-seong. Steam lists the game but says it is not yet available; reports of funding trouble have left its future uncertain.

Gang of Dragon is an action-adventure game announced by Nagoshi Studio, the company led by Toshihiro Nagoshi. The lead character is Shin Ji-seong, a high-ranking member of a Korean crime syndicate. Korean actor Ma Dong-seok, also known as Don Lee, portrays him. The reveal places the character in Kabukicho but does not establish further story details such as a release-date timeline or the full cast.
What gameplay has been described?
The studio says the game will feature hand-to-hand combat, swords, firearms and other combat techniques, as well as high-speed car chases through Shinjuku. These are features described in the reveal material, not findings from independent hands-on testing; no gameplay review or review score is established here.

Is Gang of Dragon coming out?
There is no confirmed release date in the available listing. The game’s Steam page currently says, “This game is not yet available on Steam.” That establishes its present storefront availability, not whether development is continuing or when it might launch.
Nagoshi Studio said in its New Year 2026 message that Gang of Dragon was “currently in development” at that time. This is a dated statement, not confirmation of the project’s status now. Is Gang of Dragon cancelled?
No formal cancellation announcement is established by the available sources. However, reports published in March–May 2026 said NetEase planned to end funding for Nagoshi Studio in May, and described the game’s future as uncertain amid the lack of a publicly reported replacement backer. PC Gamer’s May 2026 report said the project needed at least another $44.4 million to finish, citing earlier reporting. That is a reported estimate of additional funding, not an audited budget or a figure confirmed by the developer. GameSpot also reported uncertainty around the game’s future.
The Steam listing remains online, but a storefront page is not proof that production continues. The evidence cited here does not establish that the game is cancelled, completed, delayed to a specific year or guaranteed to release. Nor does it establish confirmed replacement funding.
