Check your exact component models against the table below; tier labels do not establish a specific resolution or frame-rate target.
Gears of War: E-Day PC requirements at a glance
The component lists below reproduce the launch requirements table. Treat each model as a listed example for that tier, not as a guarantee that every similarly named part will perform identically. The accessible specifications do not reliably assign a resolution or FPS target to each PC tier. Tom’s Guide’s reproduced requirements table provides the component list; the Steam listing confirms the SSD and ray-tracing-capable GPU conditions.

What to check before installing
GPU: ray tracing is a separate compatibility requirement
Steam says a hardware ray-tracing-capable GPU is required. Check that condition as well as the GPU model’s placement in the table; the tier label alone is not a substitute for the stated compatibility requirement. Upscaling or frame-generation options do not remove it.
RAM and storage
The minimum tier lists 12 GB of RAM; recommended and Ultra list 16 GB. Every tier lists 115 GB of storage and requires an SSD. Steam cautions that later updates may need additional space, so check available room beyond the initial listed amount. You may be able to use an existing compatible SSD; inspect its free capacity before considering an upgrade.

Windows and availability
Xbox lists Windows 10/11 for PC. The game launched October 6, 2026, and is available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC/Microsoft Store and Steam. Xbox lists PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate availability. Premium edition early access began October 1, before the worldwide launch. How to judge whether your PC meets the listed tiers
- Identify your GPU model. Confirm that it supports hardware ray tracing, then compare its exact model name with the listed GPU examples.
- Check your CPU. Compare its exact model with the CPU examples in the tier you are evaluating.
- Check installed RAM. Compare capacity with the tier’s 12 GB or 16 GB listing.
- Check the install drive. It must be an SSD with at least 115 GB free, with extra room sensible for future updates.
- Choose an upgrade path carefully. If your system falls short, weigh the cost of component replacement against trying lower settings or supported upscaling; the listed tiers are not a promise of particular performance on unlisted hardware.
PC features and performance expectations
The Steam listing names DLSS 4.5, AMD FSR “Redstone,” optional Frame Generation and Multi Frame Generation on supported hardware, Variable Rate Shading, and a built-in benchmark. These are options to assess after checking baseline compatibility, and feature support depends on hardware.

The Xbox game page describes 4K and up to 60 FPS across Campaign and Multiplayer. That is a general Xbox feature statement, not a published resolution or frame-rate target for any PC requirements tier. The launch specifications followed work on stability and performance after the July multiplayer open beta; Xbox Wire says its PC specification image was updated September 28. For launch-era PC requirements, use those final specifications rather than earlier beta-era lists. Xbox Wire’s final-specifications announcement provides that context.
