The second Gears of War: Reloaded multiplayer beta ran June 20–22, 2025. It began at 7pm UTC (12pm Pacific) on Friday and ended at the same time on Sunday. The beta is over; the full game launched on August 26, 2025.
When was the second Gears of War: Reloaded beta?
Xbox scheduled the second multiplayer beta for Friday, June 20, through Sunday, June 22, 2025. It opened at 7pm UTC / 12pm Pacific on Friday, June 20, and closed at 7pm UTC / 12pm Pacific on Sunday, June 22. Those are historical event times, not an upcoming test window. Xbox Wire announced the schedule.
Who could play the beta?
For that weekend, Xbox listed three ways to qualify. Access was tied to the following digital entitlements:
- Preorder Gears of War: Reloaded digitally for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Steam, or PlayStation 5.
- Have an active Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass membership.
- Own a digital copy of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition purchased before May 5, 2025, at 16:00 UTC.
The Coalition studio head Mike Crump outlined these routes in the June 8, 2025 Xbox Wire announcement. They were eligibility rules for the beta, not ways to join it now.

No. The June 20–22, 2025 beta has concluded, so none of its original access routes provide entry to that test. The released game is the option for playing Gears of War: Reloaded now.
