GeForce NOW’s fifth-anniversary lineup was a February 2025 event, not a new announcement. NVIDIA said the month would bring 17 games, including major releases such as Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, Sid Meier’s Civilization VII and Avowed. The celebration also expanded to include three Batman: Arkham editions. These were games to stream—not games included with a GeForce NOW membership: players generally needed to own the right storefront version or have access through a qualifying subscription.
What GeForce NOW announced for its fifth anniversary
NVIDIA announced the anniversary slate on January 30, 2025, ahead of the service’s February milestone. GeForce NOW had left beta in February 2020; the anniversary marked five years since that broad launch, rather than five years since NVIDIA first experimented with cloud gaming. NVIDIA described a schedule featuring a major release each week and promoted 17 games for the month. NVIDIA’s February announcement is the source for the original lineup.

The most notable angle was the number of major PC releases arriving on GeForce NOW around launch, alongside older games joining or expanding the catalog. Later weekly announcements added the Batman: Arkham games to the anniversary story. Those catalog additions should not be confused with the 17-game monthly slate or treated as newly released games.

The headline additions
- Kingdom Come: Deliverance II: NVIDIA announced Steam availability for February 4, 2025, at launch. It called the game the first major release of the anniversary month. NVIDIA’s launch announcement described streaming capabilities for paid tiers, including up to 4K/120 FPS on Ultimate and 1440p/120 FPS on Performance, subject to supported hardware, display, region and connection.
- Sid Meier’s Civilization VII: The strategy game was listed for Steam and Epic Games Store on February 11, 2025. NVIDIA also referred to advanced-access availability in its announcement. A later NVIDIA post paired its arrival with the Arkham additions.
- Avowed: NVIDIA listed the release for February 18, 2025, with Steam, Battle.net and Xbox routes and PC Game Pass access. Storefront editions are not interchangeable, so check that the version you own is the one supported. Details appeared in NVIDIA’s Avowed announcement.
- Tomb Raider IV–VI Remastered: The collection was listed for Steam on February 14, 2025.
- Lost Records: Bloom & Rage: The first part was listed for Steam on February 18, 2025.
The anniversary coverage also grew to include Batman: Arkham Asylum Game of the Year Edition, Batman: Arkham City Game of the Year Edition and Batman: Arkham Knight Premium. NVIDIA presented these as part of a collaboration with Warner Bros. Games. Its advertised up-to-4K/120-FPS capability for Ultimate is a plan and setup-dependent maximum, not a promise that every player or device will reach it.

NVIDIA’s monthly roundup also named Abiotic Factor (Steam), Alan Wake (Xbox/Microsoft Store), Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation (Xbox/Microsoft Store), The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics (Xbox/Microsoft Store), HUMANITY (Steam), Murky Divers (Steam), Somerville (Xbox/Microsoft Store), Songs of Silence (Steam) and UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH II Sys:Celes (Steam). These were catalog titles mentioned in the roundup, not nine additional new releases on top of the headline slate. The varying totals reflect the distinction between the 17-game anniversary announcement and the broader weekly posts, which also surfaced other games and catalog availability.
GeForce NOW membership does not buy the games
GeForce NOW streams supported PC games from NVIDIA’s servers. A membership supplies access to the streaming service and its tier-specific features; it does not generally include ownership of each game in its catalog. To play, you normally need a supported GeForce NOW account plus the game on the supported storefront, or qualifying access through a subscription such as PC Game Pass. You may also need to link the relevant store or publisher account.
Storefront matters. A Steam listing does not mean an Epic Games Store or Xbox copy will work in its place. For Xbox/Microsoft listings, confirm whether the supported route is a Microsoft Store purchase, PC Game Pass, or both. Catalog availability can vary by region, publisher permissions and edition. Inclusion also does not guarantee that every DLC, mod, save feature or multiplayer function behaves exactly as it does on a local PC. NVIDIA’s game library identifies current supported titles and distinguishes ready-to-play games from premium-member Install-to-Play titles.

- Sign in to GeForce NOW and check the membership options available in your country.
- Install the GeForce NOW app or use a supported browser option.
- Connect the relevant supported store or subscription account, such as Steam, Epic Games, Microsoft/Xbox or PC Game Pass.
- Search the game by its exact title and confirm the listed storefront edition matches your copy or subscription access.
- Start the stream and complete any first-time store or publisher sign-in prompts.
Some games are ready to stream without installing them during a session; Install-to-Play titles may require an in-session download. NVIDIA explains these routes on its How to Play page. Because the anniversary list is from 2025, use the live library to verify availability now rather than assuming every title remains streamable.
What the anniversary lineup meant—and what it did not
For players with a compatible game library and a reliable connection, the main benefit was reduced waiting between a major PC release and cloud access. A launch-day or near-launch listing can make a demanding game playable on a supported low-power device without buying a gaming PC. The mix of new releases, established franchises and multiple storefront routes also showed the breadth of publishers and catalogs represented.
There are trade-offs. Streaming quality depends on network latency, bandwidth, Wi-Fi conditions and data limits, as well as the device, display, region and membership tier. Premium plans can offer higher resolutions, frame rates, queue priority or longer sessions, but those are service features, not universal performance guarantees. Launch-day cloud availability likewise does not prevent server congestion, patches, launcher sign-in issues or game-specific bugs.

Current membership benefits, Day Pass availability, storage terms and prices can change by region and over time; check the official membership page before deciding. The anniversary’s value was its timely access to games—not a bundle that made the games free.
