NVIDIA provides the streaming session; your Microsoft/Xbox purchase or subscription, or your Ubisoft+ membership, supplies the game entitlement.
The Microsoft Store and PC Game Pass support originally launched on August 24, 2023. In 2026, availability is still title-by-title: each game must be onboarded and tested, and a game appearing in PC Game Pass does not automatically make it playable on GeForce NOW.

What the integration actually does
GeForce NOW connects supported store versions to a cloud gaming session. Depending on the service, integration can provide account linking, library synchronization, automatic sign-in in supported cases, recognition of subscription entitlements and a direct launch path to the correct PC edition.
It does not give you a PC Game Pass or Ubisoft+ membership, convert Xbox console ownership into a PC entitlement, make every Microsoft Store purchase compatible, or buy downloadable content and in-game currency for you. Microsoft Store DLC and in-game purchases must be made through the Microsoft Store, not inside the streamed environment. See NVIDIA’s current overview at GeForce NOW.

How the Microsoft Store and PC Game Pass support began
On August 24, 2023, NVIDIA announced support for select Microsoft Store games and PC Game Pass titles. Eligible games appeared in GeForce NOW under an Xbox store label. A player could launch a supported title by owning its Microsoft Store PC version or by holding an active PC Game Pass or Game Pass Ultimate subscription. The original announcement is documented by NVIDIA.
That was an integration launch, not a promise that the whole Microsoft catalog would become streamable. NVIDIA’s current guidance says games are onboarded and tested individually, so a new PC Game Pass release may take time to appear—or may not be supported at all. Availability also differs by country and can change as catalogs and licensing change. See NVIDIA’s Xbox and Microsoft Store support article.
What remains true in 2026
- Supported Microsoft Store and PC Game Pass games are generally selected through the Xbox store option in GeForce NOW.
- Xbox account linking can enable automatic sign-in for supported launches, although some games still request another login.
- PC Game Pass availability, editions and features vary by plan, region and date. Check the current catalog at Xbox PC Game Pass.
- A game can remain visible in your GeForce NOW library even when you no longer have the subscription or purchase that entitles you to play it.
Which access model do you have?
| Access model | What you need | Important limitation |
|---|---|---|
| PC Game Pass | An active PC Game Pass or Game Pass Ultimate plan, plus a title included in that plan and supported by GeForce NOW. | The Game Pass catalog is rotating and regional; GeForce NOW support is decided per title. |
| Microsoft Store purchase | A purchase of the supported PC/Microsoft Store version on the connected Microsoft account. | Xbox console ownership or a copy bought in another store does not necessarily provide this entitlement. |
| Ubisoft+ | An active Ubisoft+ membership, a linked Ubisoft account and a supported Ubisoft PC title. | Ubisoft+ is separate from GeForce NOW, and not every Ubisoft+ game is streamable. |
| Other storefront copy | A Steam, Epic Games or Ubisoft Connect entitlement when that specific store version is listed by GeForce NOW. | Store entitlements generally do not transfer; you may need to buy the game again for another storefront. |
Connect your accounts
- Open GeForce NOW.
- Go to Settings, then Connections.
- Connect the relevant Xbox/Microsoft, Ubisoft Connect or other supported store account.
- Search for the game or open My Library.
- Choose the store version that matches the account holding your purchase or subscription.
- Launch the game and complete any additional publisher sign-in it requests.
Linked accounts can improve automatic sign-in, library synchronization and subscription-based discovery. NVIDIA’s account instructions are at its connected-account guide; automatic Xbox sign-in exceptions are described at NVIDIA’s sign-in support page.

Find supported Xbox and PC Game Pass games
- Search for Xbox in the GeForce NOW search bar.
- Use the digital-store filter and select Xbox.
- Look for a PC Game Pass row or Game Pass label when the app displays one.
- Open the individual game listing and verify the available store version before subscribing or buying.
NVIDIA recommends checking the specific listing rather than assuming that the Xbox catalog is complete. Its identification guidance is available at How can I tell which GeForce NOW games are available on Xbox PC Game Pass?.

How Ubisoft+ works
Ubisoft+ uses your Ubisoft account rather than making the subscription part of GeForce NOW. Launch a supported Ubisoft+ game from GeForce NOW and it can be added to your library for future sessions. Alternatively, add it to the Ubisoft Connect PC library first, then synchronize.
Add a missing Ubisoft+ game through Ubisoft Connect
- Open Ubisoft Connect on a Windows PC.
- Select Library, then Ubisoft+.
- Find the game and open its three-dot menu.
- Choose Add to My Games.
- Return to GeForce NOW and use Sync or Resync, or launch the game directly.
NVIDIA documents the synchronization behavior at its Ubisoft+ account article and the add-to-library procedure at its Ubisoft+ synchronization guide. An active Ubisoft+ membership is checked when you launch; a visible library entry does not preserve access after cancellation.

Ubisoft games included with Xbox Game Pass
Some Ubisoft games obtained through Xbox Game Pass require a separate Ubisoft activation. NVIDIA directs users to activate access at gamepass.ubisoft.com before selecting the Xbox Game Pass version in GeForce NOW. This process is distinct from subscribing directly to Ubisoft+.
When a game leaves a subscription
PC Game Pass
When a title leaves PC Game Pass, the subscription no longer grants access. Buying the Microsoft Store version can restore the entitlement only if that version remains supported on GeForce NOW. A library tile by itself is not proof of ownership.

Ubisoft+
Ubisoft+ games may remain listed in My Library after your membership expires, but they will not launch until the subscription is active again. The same supported-title requirement still applies.

Common problems and fixes
The game is missing from My Library
- Confirm that the correct Xbox or Ubisoft account is connected.
- Verify that the exact game version is listed as supported on GeForce NOW.
- Check that your subscription is active or that the purchase is on the connected account.
- Run Resync, then search manually and select the matching store version.
- For Ubisoft+, add the game to the Ubisoft Connect PC library before synchronizing.
You are repeatedly asked to sign in
Connect the Xbox account under Settings → Connections. If prompts continue, that title may not support automatic sign-in or may require a second publisher login. NVIDIA lists these exceptions at its automatic sign-in guidance.
Ubisoft+ reports no entitlement
- Check that Ubisoft+ has not expired.
- Make sure the correct Ubisoft account is linked.
- For a Game Pass Ubisoft title, complete activation at gamepass.ubisoft.com.
- Add the game to Ubisoft Connect and synchronize again.
- Confirm that the title is supported on GeForce NOW.
The game is in Game Pass but unavailable on GeForce NOW
There is no account setting that can add an un-onboarded title. Consider Xbox Cloud Gaming, local installation through the Xbox app, a supported Steam/Epic/Ubisoft Connect edition, or waiting for a future listing. Those alternatives also vary by title and region.
Regional, technical and cost trade-offs
Game Pass catalogs and GeForce NOW store support differ by country. Server distance, Wi-Fi congestion, bandwidth, latency and data caps affect the streaming experience even when your account and game are eligible.

The cost is a combination rather than one bundled product: GeForce NOW supplies the streaming service; PC Game Pass, a Microsoft Store purchase or Ubisoft+ supplies the entitlement. NVIDIA offers free and premium memberships, with premium tiers advertised as providing higher performance, longer sessions, resolutions and frame rates; current plan details are on NVIDIA’s membership page. Microsoft’s plan terms and catalog are on the PC Game Pass page. The Xbox-hosted Ubisoft+ page displayed $17.99 per month on August 16, 2026; billing and cancellation terms depend on where you subscribe, so verify the checkout page at purchase: Xbox Ubisoft+.
Who should use GeForce NOW?
- Good fit: players with a Mac, Chromebook, handheld, TV, phone or low-powered PC; people already paying for Game Pass or Ubisoft+; and owners of Microsoft Store games that are explicitly listed as supported.
- Poor fit: players whose games are not listed, who need mods or local files, who require offline play, or who have unreliable internet.
Xbox Cloud Gaming, at xbox.com/en-US/cloud-gaming, is better suited to readers seeking Microsoft’s own catalog-first cloud experience. Local Xbox-app installation offers lower latency, storage permitting, and more control; local Ubisoft Connect does the same for Ubisoft titles. A Steam or Epic purchase can be the practical route when that edition is supported but the Microsoft Store edition is not.
