A complete, current list of every 5-star playable character cannot be verified from the available roster records. As of October 9, 2026, the records confirm several recent additions and identify the official HoYoWiki Character Archive as a reference for the playable roster, but they do not establish an exhaustive 5-star list. This guide separates confirmed facts from details that remain unstated rather than presenting an incomplete list as complete.
Which recent 5-star characters are confirmed?
A PlayStation Blog announcement scoped to Southeast Asia identifies Nicole Reeyn and Lohen as new 5-star characters in Version Luna VII. The announcement supports their rarity and version, but the available record does not give Nicole Reeyn’s element, weapon, region, or individual release date.
| Character | Rarity | Element | Weapon | Region | Release information |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Nicole Reeyn | 5-star | Not stated in the cited announcement | Not stated in the cited announcement | Not stated in the cited announcement | Introduced in Version Luna VII; announcement scoped to Southeast Asia |
| Lohen | 5-star | Cryo | Polearm | Not stated in the cited roster result | Listed as released June 9, 2026, in Luna VII by the Genshin Impact Wiki (Fandom); the roster result was crawled about three months before October 8, 2026 |
The official HoYoverse announcement for Version Luna IV says that Columbina and Zibai were introduced as playable characters when the update launched on January 14, 2026. That announcement, as described in the available record, does not establish their rarity, elements, weapons, or regions, so it is not enough on its own to place either character in a verified 5-star roster table.
Why this is not an exhaustive character list
The HoYoWiki Character Archive provides a reference for playable characters, and its regional pages expose a 5-star category. A searchable roster index also offers filters for quality, element, weapon, region, release year, and version. Those are useful ways to check a character’s classification and compare neutral roster details; they do not, in the records available here, supply a complete current list of 5-star names and their fields.

A Genshin Impact Wiki (Fandom) search result reports 117 playable characters, but it was crawled roughly three months before October 8, 2026. That is an attributed figure from an older result, not a verified total for October 9, 2026, and it counts playable characters rather than establishing how many are 5-star. It should not be treated as the current roster count.

How to check the full roster without confusing it with banner availability
- Start with the HoYoWiki Character Archive. Use the playable-character archive and its 5-star category as the official reference point for who is classified as playable and 5-star.
- Verify comparison details separately. Check each character’s element, weapon, region, and release version against the archive or a searchable index that exposes those fields. If a field is absent from the source, leave it unconfirmed rather than infer it from a character’s appearance or story.
- Check current Wish notices for availability. Wishes are Genshin Impact’s gacha acquisition system, and banner availability rotates. A static archive identifies roster membership; it does not establish which character can be obtained right now. Use current in-game or official banner notices for a date-specific answer.
Roster membership, character classification, and current availability are separate questions: a character can be part of the playable roster without appearing on a current banner, and an older roster count cannot answer what is available in the present Wish cycle.
