The early clues include battle-related demand for Strength, Dexterity or Constitution, and a flower-shop request for Constitution, Endurance or Steadying. From Cycle 11 onward, the news can vary between players, so use the clue in your own game rather than relying on a fixed list.
Alchemical Ascension is a historical event walkthrough, not confirmation that the event is currently playable. It is also separate from the 2023 web event Glittering Elixirs, which used fixed ingredient combinations.
How Alchemical Ascension and Market News work
Alchemical Ascension was Genshin Impact’s Version 4.5 potion-shop event. Players cultivated ingredients, combined them in the alchemy cauldron and sold the resulting potions. Market News indicated what traits could be in demand during a cycle; the event notice described planning sales around that demand as a way to pursue greater profits. HoYoverse’s event notice outlines the event activity.
Market News is guidance about traits buyers may want, not a single universal recipe. Read the clue, identify its requested efficacy or characteristic, then concoct a potion that carries those tags. The early examples below are clues from the guide, not a complete cycle-by-cycle list.

Alchemical Ascension Market News clues

These early-cycle examples are reported in the Beebom Alchemical Ascension guide. Its account says players see the same Market News through Cycle 10; starting at Cycle 11, they receive different news drawn from a limited set. That means a list copied from another player’s run may not match yours. For later cycles, treat your in-game clue as authoritative and match the tags it actually requests.
How to make a potion that matches a clue
- Read the current Market News. Note whether it asks for an efficacy, a characteristic, or either kind of tag.
- Check your ingredients. Select ingredients that contribute the requested efficacy or characteristic, then arrange them in the cauldron to include those traits in the potion.
- Check the finished potion’s tags before selling. Confirm it has the trait the clue asks for; where the clue lists alternatives, one matching trait may be enough. If the demand specifically requires more than one condition, meet each condition shown.
- Sell in response to the clue. Market News is a demand signal, so tailor the potion to the current cycle rather than assuming one fixed recipe works throughout the event.
The available guide material does not provide a complete authoritative cycle-by-cycle table or ingredient-by-ingredient recipe for each demand clue. Ingredient availability also affects what you can concoct, so use the traits displayed in your own cauldron rather than relying on an unverified fixed combination.

Phase 3 cycles and reported exam requirements
A Phase 3 HoYoLAB community guide reports unlimited potion concoction beginning at Cycle 25, provided you have ingredients. It recommends using accumulated funds to enhance existing potions and level ingredients. The same guide lists the following cycle tasks; these are community-reported instructions, not independently verified official rules.

Glittering Elixirs recipes are a separate event
Glittering Elixirs was a 2023 web event with fixed combinations of materials. Those combinations are not Alchemical Ascension recipes and do not tell you how to answer its shop-cycle Market News. A HoYoLAB post lists 16 Glittering Elixirs recipes, including these examples:

These combinations are from the HoYoLAB Glittering Elixirs recipe post. Use them only for that web event; Alchemical Ascension instead asks you to make shop potions that meet changing demand for efficacy or characteristics.

The current official Genshin site result identified for this topic concerns Version 7.1 and does not announce an Alchemical Ascension rerun, so it does not establish that the event is currently playable.
