When did Genshin Impact Version 5.1 come out?
HoYoverse scheduled maintenance for October 9, 2024, at 06:00 (UTC+8), and estimated it would take five hours. That is the announced start time and expected duration, not confirmation of the exact time maintenance finished. Because the notice uses UTC+8, the local calendar date may differ in other time zones. HoYoverse’s Version 5.1 update details also gave platform-specific update instructions:
- PC: Update through the game launcher.
- iOS: Update through the App Store.
- Android: Update through the game.
- PS5 and PS4: Use the console’s update option.

Who is the new character in Version 5.1?
Xilonen
Xilonen is a five-star Geo character who wields a sword. HoYoverse describes her as a Nanatzcayan Name Engraver who balances the responsibilities of her work with enjoying life. Her character introduction supplies that background; it does not establish a gameplay ranking or build recommendation.

When active, the relevant Soundscapes lower nearby opponents’ resistance to the corresponding elements. Her Elemental Burst deals area-of-effect Geo damage; depending on the active Soundscapes, it either restores HP to nearby active characters or deals additional area-of-effect Geo damage. What weapons did Version 5.1 add?
The update details announced one new five-star weapon and three new four-star weapons. HoYoverse said Peak Patrol Song, Xilonen’s signature sword, would receive a drop-rate boost in Epitome Invocation. The same notice listed the three four-star weapons as featured weapons:

The update also introduced Act III of the Tribal Chronicle “A Prayer for Blessings, Told to Crested Peaks.” HoYoverse listed its own Adventure Rank, Archon Quest, and earlier-act prerequisites; check the update notice for the full conditions rather than assuming they match the Archon Quest requirements.

HoYoverse published separate Phase I and Phase II event-preview notices on October 7 and October 24, 2024. The accessible text of those notices introduces the previews but does not disclose a reliable complete list of limited-time event names or dates. The full banner roster—including reruns—and exact wish phase durations are likewise not established by that text. The original graphics or dedicated event-wish notices are needed to verify those details; they should not be inferred from the previews alone. The update details do confirm one scheduled activity detail: a new Imaginarium Theater season began November 1, with Pyro, Electro, and Dendro as its required elements.
The update notice also lists additions and improvements involving Spiral Abyss, Envisaged Echoes, and Genius Invokation TCG. It does not provide a complete limited-time event calendar in the accessible text.
