Genshin Impact’s 2024 Version 5.1 Spiral Abyss had two scheduled phases: October 16 added a Floor 11 Geo damage bonus and a DEF-boosting Blessing; November 16 changed the bonuses to Geo and Pyro and introduced an ATK-stacking Charged Attack Blessing. HoYoverse also said Floors 11–12 would receive new monster lineups and announced a feature to claim some lower-floor rewards after qualifying full-star clears. The available official details do not name the monsters, and the leak allegation about an Abyss HP increase could not be verified.

What changed in Version 5.1’s Spiral Abyss?

HoYoverse’s Version 5.1 update announcement scheduled two Abyss phase updates, on October 16 and November 16, 2024. Both phases updated the monster lineups on Floors 11 and 12. The announcement’s available details do not identify those enemies, so an exact lineup or claim about how difficult the floors became cannot be established from that source.

The official announcement also specified a different Floor 11 Ley Line Disorder and Abyssal Moon Blessing for each phase. These bonuses were distinct: the Ley Line Disorder supplied damage bonuses to the whole party, while each Blessing activated under a particular combat condition.

October 16 phase: Geo damage and DEF after a Skill

In the phase scheduled to begin October 16, Floor 11 granted all party members a 75% Geo DMG Bonus. The Rugged Moon Blessing increased a character’s DEF by 60% for 9 seconds after that character used an Elemental Skill. The DEF effect was triggered by skill use; it was not limited to Geo characters.

November 16 phase: Geo and Pyro damage, with Charged Attack stacks

In the phase scheduled to begin November 16, Floor 11 granted all party members a 60% Geo DMG Bonus and a 60% Pyro DMG Bonus. The Vigorous Moon Blessing increased the active character’s ATK by 20% for 8 seconds when a Charged Attack hit an opponent. It could stack up to four times, and each stack had an independent duration.

How the two Floor 11 phases differed

Scheduled phase Floor 11 Ley Line Disorder Abyssal Moon Blessing
October 16, 2024 75% Geo DMG Bonus for all party members Elemental Skill use increased the character’s DEF by 60% for 9 seconds
November 16, 2024 60% Geo DMG Bonus and 60% Pyro DMG Bonus for all party members A Charged Attack hit increased the active character’s ATK by 20% for 8 seconds, up to four stacks with independent durations

Those effects describe the official Floor 11 mechanics, not a recommendation for a particular team. The announcement details cited here do not provide the enemy-by-enemy lineups or performance evidence needed to identify a best team.

What the reward-skipping feature did

Version 5.1 also announced a way for qualifying players to claim certain current-cycle rewards on lower floors after earning full-star clears. The requirement depended on the previous cycle’s Floor 11 result or the current cycle’s Floor 12 result:

  • A full-star Floor 11 clear in the previous cycle qualified a player to claim the current cycle’s full-star Floor 9 rewards.
  • A full-star Floor 12 clear qualified a player to claim the current cycle’s Floor 9 and Floor 10 rewards.

The review pop-up covered Chamber Bounties. Primogem Star’s Bounty rewards still had to be claimed manually; they were not included in the automatic skip.

Was the Spiral Abyss HP-increase leak confirmed?

A Reddit search result surfaced a leak discussion alleging a Version 5.1 Spiral Abyss HP increase, but the page could not be opened for verification. HoYoverse’s official announcement confirmed that Floors 11–12 had updated monster lineups, but the available official details do not state that enemy HP increased. The allegation therefore cannot be treated as a confirmed change or as a verified prediction.

How to read the 5.1 dates now

The October 16 and November 16 dates were the scheduled phase dates for the 2024 Version 5.1 update, not a current-cycle calendar. HoYoverse’s Help Center says Spiral Abyss generally refreshes on the 16th of each month and advises players to use the in-game countdown for precise timing. It also says earned rewards that are left unclaimed do not carry over. See HoYoverse’s reset and rewards guidance for that current general information.
