Genshin Impact Version 5.5 was scheduled to launch on March 26, 2025. HoYoverse planned maintenance from 06:00 UTC+8 for an estimated five hours, making 11:00 UTC+8 (03:00 UTC) the nominal update time—not a guaranteed completion time. That date has passed, so a countdown to Version 5.5 is no longer active.
When did Genshin Impact Version 5.5 release?
HoYoverse scheduled Version 5.5 maintenance to begin on March 26, 2025, at 06:00 UTC+8. The official notice estimated five hours of downtime. Adding that estimate to the scheduled start gives a nominal target of 11:00 UTC+8, or 03:00 UTC on March 26. The notice did not promise an exact end time, so this is a schedule-based estimate rather than a guaranteed launch moment. HoYoverse’s maintenance notice
Beebom also reported 11:00 UTC+8 as the planned release time and gave these local conversions. Its guide later labels maintenance end as 04:00 UTC, which conflicts with both its stated 11:00 UTC+8 time and the official five-hour estimate. The official schedule supports 03:00 UTC as the nominal target.
| Location / time zone | Nominal scheduled time |
|---|---|
| UTC+8 | 11:00 a.m., March 26 |
| UTC | 03:00, March 26 |
| New Delhi (IST) | 8:30 a.m., March 26 |
| Tokyo (JST) | Noon, March 26 |
| California (PST) | 8:00 p.m., March 25 |
| Rome (CET) | 5:00 a.m., March 26 |
These are time-zone conversions of the nominal 11:00 UTC+8 target reported by Beebom, not separate official launch guarantees. The regional date differs: the California conversion falls on March 25.

Was there a countdown timer?
Any countdown for Version 5.5 has expired. The update was scheduled for March 26, 2025, and the date is historical; a live timer counting down to its release would be misleading.
What happened during maintenance?
Players could not log in while maintenance was underway. HoYoverse said the game would update to Version 5.5 after maintenance and noted that pre-download was available on mobile, PC, and PlayStation, with Xbox pre-installation being added. HoYoverse’s notice
