Genshin Impact Version 6.1, titled An Elegy for Faded Moonlight and also called Luna II, was reported to have released on October 22, 2025. Its three livestream codes are expired, but the historical banner details remain useful: Nefer was the featured new Dendro character, alongside Furina in the Phase I five-star lineup.
When did Genshin Impact 6.1 come out?
Version 6.1 was the Luna II update, subtitled An Elegy for Faded Moonlight. Contemporaneous coverage and a HoYoLAB stream summary reported its release date as October 22, 2025; HoYoverse’s Nefer character notice also said her event wish would be available that day. PC Gamer’s October 2025 guide and the HoYoLAB stream summary identify the date, while HoYoverse’s Nefer notice gives the character-wish date.
There is a conflict in the surviving official timing notices. A HoYoverse Phase I event-wish notice dated October 20 says the wishes would run “After the ‘Luna II’ version update—2025/11/11 17:59.” That timing does not match the October 22 release reporting and Nefer notice, so the exact Phase I window cannot be stated confidently from these records. The Phase I notice contains the November 11 timestamp.
What were the Genshin Impact 6.1 livestream codes?
The three reported livestream codes and their advertised rewards were:

- Nefer1022Ashru — 100 Primogems and 10 Mystic Enhancement Ore.
- LunaII1022 — 100 Primogems and five Hero’s Wit.
- MiliastraWonderland — 100 Primogems and 50,000 Mora.
These codes have expired and cannot be claimed now. The HoYoLAB summary gives an expiry of October 12, 2025, at 23:59 UTC+8, but that precise deadline comes from a community summary rather than an official expiry notice in the available sources. PC Gamer’s October 10 guide lists the codes and rewards; the HoYoLAB summary reports the expiry.

How did players redeem Genshin codes?
At the time, the guide said players needed Adventure Rank 10 or higher. It documented two ways to redeem a code:
- In-game: Open Settings, select Account, choose Redeem Now, and enter the code. Then collect the reward from the in-game mailbox.
- On HoYoverse’s redemption site: Sign in and submit the code there, then collect the reward from the in-game mailbox.
These are the historical instructions, not a way to reactivate the expired 6.1 codes. The redemption requirements and steps are documented in PC Gamer’s guide.

Who was on the Nefer banner?
HoYoverse identified Nefer as a Dendro character and highlighted her in the Luna II Phase I event wish. The official notice lists the following boosted characters and featured five-star weapons:
| Category | Phase I listings |
|---|---|
| Boosted five-star characters | Nefer; Furina |
| Boosted four-star characters | Xingqiu; Collei; Yaoyao |
| Featured five-star weapons | Reliquary of Truth (Catalyst); Splendor of Tranquil Waters (Sword) |
The character and weapon details come from HoYoverse’s Phase I Event Wishes Notice. Its timing inconsistency means the lineup is best treated as the published Phase I roster, not proof of an exact active window. The available notice record does not reliably establish later-phase details.

What to know about Version 6.1 now
- 6.1 was the historical Luna II update, An Elegy for Faded Moonlight.
- The reported release date was October 22, 2025, though surviving official timing notices conflict about the update and Phase I wish schedule.
- The three reported livestream codes and rewards are historical only; the codes are expired.
- Nefer was the new Dendro character featured alongside Furina in the Phase I five-star lineup.
For context, HoYoverse’s later Luna II trailer notice calls it Version 6.1, while its Version 7.1 notice says that update launched on September 23, 2026—making 6.1 a past version. The Luna II notice and the Version 7.1 notice establish that chronology.
