That is not confirmed. GIGABYTE describes memory as “up to 768GB DDR5 R-DIMM,” which supports treating 768GB as the advertised maximum rather than the default. HotHardware reported that the listing appeared to show 768GB installed as 8 × 96GB, but warned that the listing could be mistaken. Check the exact configuration with the seller before treating that capacity—or any particular memory layout—as included.

Can it run large AI models locally?
GIGABYTE says the AI TOP 500 TRX50 can run models with up to 405 billion parameters. That is the manufacturer’s capability claim, not an independently tested result in the available reporting. GIGABYTE does not provide the model, quantization, memory allocation, throughput or other conditions needed to infer that every model of that size will load or run at a particular speed. Parameter count alone is not a performance guarantee.
The company also promotes AI TOP clustering and claims a dual-PC setup can deliver up to 1.6× faster training. The product page does not provide a benchmark methodology or configuration details to validate or generalize that figure.
