The older Shacknews guide provides routes for 23 named schemes, but it dates to 2020 and warns that updates may change or add locations. Use its directions as a landmark-based route guide, not as a complete current checklist.
How SCA.B themes work
SCA.B schemes are collectible color themes for the wrist-mounted device. Once collected, select them from the device’s OS menu. The Grounded Wiki says you can equip one theme for daytime and another for nighttime; Day Mode activates at 6:00 and Night Mode at 20:00 in-game. These counts and times come from a community-maintained wiki, not an official Obsidian checklist.

The list below covers the 23 schemes named in Sam Chandler’s Shacknews guide, last updated September 4, 2020. Shacknews cautions that updates may change exact locations and add schemes. Obsidian’s October 20, 2021 update announcement documents later-added areas including the Sandbox, Black Anthill, Trash Heap, and Picnic Table, so the 2020 guide cannot establish every current location.
Shacknews’ 23 named SCA.B locations
The guide organizes schemes around caves, water routes, cans, anthills, lasers, the Hedge, and other recognizable backyard landmarks. Its named list is Syndrome, Miterider, Hot Dog Horror, Panfish, Punch-O, Gunmetal, Neomauve, Bugged, Aerobics, Greystone, Hyperblaster, Sewage, SCA.B v3.09, Sad Stab, Girthscape, Chubbs Series, Flying-V, Lasercorp, SCA.B v1.02, Cyberstrike, Textbook, Hedgeberry, Supreme, and SCA.B v2.11.

For the route-by-route directions, see Shacknews’ SCA.B locations guide. It describes approaches involving swimming through caves, entering cans, navigating anthills, climbing cables or lasers, and building stairs or roofs. Check the relevant route before setting out: the approach may involve underwater access, hostile creatures, environmental hazards, or construction.
Why the old list is not exhaustive
The newer Grounded Wiki search-indexed page includes scheme names absent from the Shacknews list, including Billy Hog Horror, Bugjuice, Corporate Issue, High Density, Holidazzle, JavaMatic, Sawdust, and Table Gum. The precise routes for these names are not established here, so use the current in-game map or an accessible up-to-date location guide to confirm them rather than treating the 2020 routes as complete.

For the same reason, a missing scheme should not be taken as proof that it is unavailable: the community wiki’s reported total is 55, while Shacknews names only 23. The wiki count is useful for gauging checklist coverage, but its excerpt does not provide an official, publisher-verified inventory.

- Water and caves: Identify whether a route requires swimming or an underwater passage before entering. Bring suitable preparation for the conditions and note where you can surface.
- Cans and anthills: Expect enclosed approaches and possible enemy encounters; follow the route’s landmark cues rather than assuming the collectible is directly visible from the entrance.
- Cables, lasers, and elevated paths: These routes may require climbing or construction. If a guide calls for stairs or a roof, gather building materials before making the trip.
- Newer named schemes: Confirm the route in the current game or a current map resource, since the 2020 guide predates later regions and added content.
These are practical route-planning categories inferred from the locations and approaches described in the guide, not official game classifications.
