Rockstar has not yet documented which accessibility or control-customization options Grand Theft Auto VI will include. That means there is no confirmed GTA 6 settings checklist to follow before playing. When the game is available, use its own menus on your platform and version to check the options you need, then test changes one at a time.

What is confirmed about GTA 6 settings?

Rockstar’s official information identifies PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S as GTA VI platforms and lists Standard and Ultimate editions. Its available GTA VI pages do not specify accessibility features, control remapping, or the layout of the settings menu. Accordingly, claims that a particular option is included should be treated as unverified unless supported by current official information or direct observation in the game.

Rockstar’s GTA VI platform and editions information was last updated August 18, 2026. That page establishes platforms and editions, not settings.

What to check in the game when it is available

Open GTA VI’s settings and look for options that address your own input, vision, hearing, or camera-comfort needs. These are categories to inspect, not confirmed GTA VI features:

  • Controls: Check whether buttons can be remapped and whether actions can be changed between holding a button and toggling it.
  • Camera and aiming: Look for sensitivity, camera behavior, or other adjustments that may make aiming and movement more comfortable.
  • Subtitles and captions: Check what dialogue or sound information can be displayed, if any such options are available.
  • Text and visibility: Look for text-size, contrast, or related presentation settings.
  • Gameplay assistance: Review any options that may reduce input demands or make play easier to manage.

Confirm each setting in your own copy of the game. Do not assume that an option, menu label, or input behavior available on one platform is also present on another.

How to test changes without making play less comfortable

  1. Open the in-game settings and identify the specific issue you want to address, such as reading text, aiming, or controlling a vehicle.
  2. Change one relevant option at a time, if the game offers it. This makes it easier to tell whether that adjustment helps.
  3. Try it in a low-pressure part of play. Pay attention to whether it improves the activity you targeted without making movement, aiming, driving, or reading less comfortable.
  4. Return to the menu and adjust or undo the change if it does not help. Recheck the settings when needed rather than assuming one setup will suit every activity.

What GTAV can—and cannot—tell you

Rockstar’s support information for Grand Theft Auto V provides examples of settings to look for, but it does not confirm that GTA VI has the same options. For GTAV, Rockstar describes a Pause Menu > Settings path with categories including controls, audio, camera, and display. Its GTAV update notes also describe deadzone and acceleration sliders, along with a first-person auto-level camera option. Rockstar explains that a lower first-person aim/look deadzone makes input register sooner, while acceleration determines how quickly turn speed reaches its maximum. These are GTAV details, not a GTA VI feature list.

GTAV’s vehicle-control support guidance says controls are displayed when the player enters a vehicle and that an adjustment made in that context affects on-foot controls, and vice versa. Do not assume GTA VI shares that behavior; check its own instructions and settings.
